Moore proved to be a one year wonder in 2004. He has done jackshit since then and takes way too many penalties. He is a definite weak link, and Kendall is imo a solid player I don't think there's even a debate between the two.
If we draft a G, i hope they dont pass on blalock...if hes there when we pick, barring some insane freefall of another good player at a need position, i want him. he can play both as a G and a T.
Well I have hated moore starting all along. I dont understand how he has lucked up thus far. The run game was better with Goodwin in there, Moore sux, everytime he we run a play to his side its nulified he has to go.
I must have missed something. When exactly did Brick struggle? In practice? Don't you think that Pennington playing 16 games for the first time in his career had something to do with playing with a LT that could move and pass protect for a change? If you are going to sit here and count sacks and say Brick struggled, then please analyze the season a little more. He played against some of the best DEs in the NFL, including the NFL defensive player of the year twice and held his own. He will be a mainstay for the Jets for a decade or more.
D'Brick had a lot of trouble with power rushers such as Jason Taylor, and really didn't make much of an impact in the running game. I think Moore is more of a priority to replace then Kendall. Moore is a below average starting G in the NFL, and still has the potential to grow but that's what we've been saying for a couple years now. At least Kendall is a leading force in the running game has a year or two left in him...
I remember multiple DEs commenting this season that D'Brickashaw Ferguson wasn't the reason they weren't getting sacks and that it was Pennington getting rid of the ball so quickly.
