No maybe you should try you search skills and prove me wrong. Where beside some quotes does it say he was a pro scout? Certainly you would think his bio would show it yet it doesn't. Come on even his backrgound write up with the seahawks says nothing about being a pro scout.
    http://www.seahawks.com/team/staff/John-Idzik/f304b1c8-4fdb-49a7-b810-c4b074b07c45

If the process was reversed and I stated he was a pro scout I would have let it go by now and not question a posters google skills. Believe what u want but try not being so arrogant about a fellow posters search skills. And U know what I would venture to say U did searches to support your argument and found zilch.

Ok so I actually went back and started watching press conferences so we can finally put this misperception to rest. It was actually a lot faster than I expected. If you really, genuinely think that these three NFL GM's have all been misquoted, and that Idzik is a cap guy, here is proof that is not true. You can jump straight to 30:00 where Idzik puts the misperceptions to rest in his introductory press conference. Next you'll be saying Idzik lied through his teeth to the press.

The passage had a link in it. It is easy enough to search the quotes if you feel someone is trying to dupe you but it seems more likely that you just do not want to admit that he knows how to evaluate a player.
There are quotes from 3 GM's, one who was pretty clear that player evaluations was one of Idziks strengths.
The passage has quotes from people in the NFL who have worked directly with him. Why that is not enough proof for you I don't know but it seems pretty clear and convincing.

Once again assuming Never said he don't know how to evaluate talent. Just said there is no proof he was a pro scout. It is not enough for me because I feel it should be duly noted in any professional write up of his past. And never said U or anyone is trying to dupe me. Why is that a fan base kills writers when they write something that goes against their beliefs and praise others that write what they want to hear? All I asked for is written proof he was a pro scout other than hearsay written by some writer in an article(s). And please let's put this to rest. I will never believe he was a pro scout until I am provided with solid proof. You accept this as proof. OK for you but not me. Is this acceptable to you or do U want to continue with this boyish back and forth tit for tat.

Seriously?? "Next you'll be saying Idzik lied through his teeth to the press." Once again assuming. The best you can come with a news conference from the official NY Jet site. I must have a hearing problem because I never heard him say he was a pro scout. He was certainly more than just a cap guy his background is very impressive but nothing about being a pro scout. Like all GM's he will lean heavily on the scouting dept and being the GM make his own decision right or wrong. I'll say to U what I have said to the other poster which whom we still seem to go back and forth with. U seem to believe he was a pro scout that's OK with me. Can you accept I don't believe it until I don't see valid duly noted proof in his some of his background write ups.? Has nothing to do with his ability as being a qualified GM.

LOL, So you want it to say somewhere that he had the title Pro Scout? It's not enough that a GM in the National Football League says "He knows players. He knows talent. He has a unique eye for evaluating players."
What exactly is it that you think a Pro Scout does?

I really don't consider this a "boyish back and forth tit for tat", I look at it as you not wanting to just admit you were wrong. Your original post claimed he was an administrator not a personnel man even though your own post also included a quote with these exact words "also worked in player personnel". When quotes are posted from NFL GM's clearly stating he did evaluate players and that "he has a big benefit in having worked on the scouting end of it" you claim it doesn't mean anything because you can't find anywhere that says "Pro Scout".

Dude the exact quote that came from his mouth is "I came into the league purely as a scout" What league do you think he is talking about? The CFL?

Perfect time to end it, considering you have no response. Unless you do think he meant the AFL (Amateur Football League).

I don't need to prove anything to myself, the proof is right there. Just say what you think he meant by "I came into the league purely as a scout." You can't, because you know exactly what he meant... The National Football league. i.e. A "pro scout."

When you post shit you need to own it, man. You googled as far as wikipedia !!!!!!

A bunch of people showed you were wrong and instead of buying your own shit you're making up all kinds of lame excuses. It's not a big deal to be wrong. You look foolish and damage your credibility by not putting up the "my bad."

My choice: Darqueze Dennard. He is my favorite player for the Jets in this draft, excluding some sure fire top 10 guys. I think there is a solid chance he is gone before the 18th pick. I would say that if he were on the board at the time the Jets pick, he'd be the favorite to be picked if I were a gambling man (assuming Mike Evans or Ebron don't fall).

The guys here who are bashing him and talking about negatives from his "tape" lol ... I'm sorry but are you watching the same Darqueze Dennard I am watching? Sounds to me like you trolls are just talking out of your by bungholes and pulling exact quotes from the NFL.com scouting report in the negatives section. And btw all those "weaknesses" are debunked or not very important.

Oh okay, so he is not an "elite" athlete. Guess who else isnt? A guy named Revis. Oh he's only 5'11? Guess who else is? A guy named Revis. Ppl say he doesn't have great ball skills? Guess who else they said that about? A guy named Revis.

Dennard is the truth and I don't know what you ppl are watching but pull up a few of his highlight tapes on YouTube, and you will find it to be true that he doesn't have great ball skills ... His ball skills are EXCEPTIONAL. I MEAN it's right there for all to see .... It's like ppl don't even bother. And then I saw some other poster trying to knock him by saying he was so good bc his dline was fierce. Lol sorry man but I see EXCELLENT ball instincts, a FIERCE tackler in run support, a true nose for the ball and absolutely EXCEPTIONAL cover skills. He is a freakin blanket. For those of you knocking Dennard, if Jets draft him I have a feeling you will all pull yours heads out of your asses and realize what a jewel we got ... Especially considering we can get a quality wr in rounds 2-3

In fact .... I would NOT BE SHOCKED if the Jets traded UP to 14, part ways with a 4th and a 6th to jump Pittsburgh to grab Dennard. Lets not forget, Terry Bradway is still a key figure in the jets scouting dept, and while he was an utter disaster as a GM, he was the one who scouted Revis, and begged Tanny to trade up for him. He's going to see a lot of MIRROR qualities in Dennard to Revis ... I MEAN really he is a spitting image to Revis on the pre draft scouting reports, and in style of play. Darqueze Dennard please!!!!!

2nd choice would be anyone but Kyle Wilson. Someone said that Wilson is not as bad as we think. Ha good one. You're right. He's actually MUCH WORSE. Kyle Wilson on the field manning up a starting wr with any speed at all is an 80 yard touchdown waiting to happen.
