i like him over kassel, he'd work out nicely as a ILB in the 3-4, he had like 160 tackles last year, i've heard people compare him to brushci
Hobson will make a great ILB in the 3-4. He played ILB at Michigan and was very good which is why he went in the 2nd round. He has been out of position his entire pro-career. Vilma and Hobson will be great at ILB. We need a Nose Tackle though.
sam adams at nt, brad kassel for depth, and someone mentioned earlier: trade a 3rd rd. pick for c jeff faine....now you can get an rt, a pass rushing specialist (please manny lawson), and bpa at #4 overall.....don't have to use a high pick for c nick mangold
I love the McGlover and Tapp ideas, particularly the McGlover. I just think we'll easily be able to find a rush backer in the draft without breaking the bank to get one.
my thoughts exactly.we still need a fat bastard to clog the hole. and maybe aj hawk to play opposite barton for olb.
Sam Adams, gotta plug that hole in the middle of your run defense. With Adams, you might be able to get away with Ellis/Kimo/Thomas/McClover at ends, though I think I would draft Mario Williams and just nail down the front 7 once and for all. Spend the rest of the draft on the O-line.
I think Kassel would be a good idea, especially with the 3-4, it is important to have depth at LB. They should see how much Faine would cost because Mangold may not be there at 29. If Adams came at the right price I would like to see us take a shot at him.
Williams at 4, Mangold at 29, Carpenter at 35. Williams - TC battle - Ellis Carpenter - Hobson - Vilma - Barton Dyson - Rhodes - Coleman - TC battle The only FA I'd be looking at now are OL.
I think adams is a little past his prime.we need big with force.if you don't get the push and take up 2 OL's,than your useless.
In all honesty I think were set at dline DE) Kimo Von Oelhoffen NT) Dewayne Robertson DE) Shaun Ellis Looks pretty damn capable to me
