we should go with raiderjeaux. He's got the numbers and the measurables. Plus, since it's only in jeaux's fantasies that the Jets will be picking first next year, it only makes sense to complete the fantasy.

jeaux in green and white for '09!

It's funny that you would talk about our QB's, and then laughingly bring up our depth. Because your savior doesn't take football serious enough to stay in any kind of reasonable shape. He might as well be Roseanne. You think that this guy, in poor shape, won't get hurt behind that O-line at least once during the course of the next year? And then your hopes and dreams will be flushed right down the Jets poop shute as we all giggle as Andrew Walter embarassingly enough attempts another pass.

If the Raiders had drafted Gholston, you would be claiming that he will be getting at least ten sacks this season. I don't care if this isn't the TT forum, you are a fucking moron.

Again where did I take a shot at Gholston. All I said was either C Pace or B Thomas is going to have to step up in the sack department. Neither hasn't put up big sack numbers in their career. If they don't take some of the pressure off Gholston, than you just might see Gholston getting alot more double teams. (cutting down on his production) Than tell me what have the jets done to improve their pass rush. Explain to me what so moronic with this statement.

Dude i think the scary part is that you guys are counting on a guy thats thrown what 35 passes in the nfl to be a franchise qb. What also is scary is that you have a piss poor line to protect him with. Oh wait i forgot you have ZBS so they are automatically god MY bad

  6. This guy has officially reached troll status. In his mind every team is essentially a last place team except the raiders.

    It's an absolute joke.

  7. Whoa, Whoa...wait a minute. Couldn't the drafting of Gholston acually do the OPPOSITE? Couldnt his potential, David Harris's quality blitzing from the middle that he's displayed, combined w/ the depth of fresh DECENT pass rushers in Pace, Bryant Thomas and David Bowens, take the pressure off EVERYONE and allow for a big time pass rush?

You didn't consider that though... you only consider the negatives when it comes to the jets. Go head, give us some bullshit Thomas Howard filler again, you schmuck. I've had it w/ your agenda.

Joe, like his Raiders, are a joke. The Raiders have overpaid several players at key positions. You wanna talk about question marks? Who is your No. 1 WR? Javon Walker??? The man is a injury waiting to happen... What about Tommy Kelly? You overpaid him to do a job he was solid at best at... I'd go on, but I have better things to do with my time.

Dude, Thomas Howard runs a 3.8 40 and has a 68 inch vertical leap. He's better than every single player on our defense combined.

Jamarcus Russell unlike K Clemens or C Pennington is a potential franchise QB. Jamarcus Russell dosen't have to carry the offense. They can give him the time to develope into that QB.
Raiders proved last year it didn't matter who the RB was behind their Oline, they were going to have sucess. With M BUsh anD D Mcfadden they just upgraded that rushing attck even further. NOt to mention the 6'7 325 pound Kwame harris is a big time upgrade to LT B sims as a run blocker. (further strengthening Raiders strength)

Sorry but B Thomas and C Pace are not decent pass rushers. Tell me there sacks numbers in their career. I guess our criteria diffrent for decent pass rushers.

Sorry but there isn's ant Jet LB that could sniff Thomas Howard Jock strap>(just talking about diffrent type of player)

Everyone can say the same thing about Jets. You are paying a guard (who didn't play as well in previous years) LT money. You traded for a hasbeen in Kris Jenkins. (hasn't played anywhere close to level he once was at) D woody couldn't start for the Detriot Lions oline, and only played five games in his life at RT. J Miller your # 2 CB. Tony Richardson is so old he nods off in team meetings. C Pennington or K Clemens is your starting QB. Starting TE C baker trying to pull a Pete Kendell, and get out OF New Jersey.

I can go on but it really dosen't matter what you , or I think. What happens with each record will tell who make the right choices this offseason.

Jevon Walker = Gimpy version of Jerry Porter.

Gibril Wilson = Wilson is a good player - but is he the third-best safety in the league? (Off the top of my head, I would take Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Bob Sanders, Brian Dawkins, Roy Williams, or Tony Parrish before Wilson) I don?t think so?so why is he getting paid like it?

Kwame Harris = Terrible. He is still worse than Kyle Turley on a good day.

Tommy Harris = Good player. Bad fit. He might be the next big thing in the 3-technique, but somehow I highly doubt it.

Drew Carter = Good move. I can't say every move the Raiders made was terrible, but in my eyes, they are way off course still.

You guys really drafted well for the future. Good job to your FO on finding a way to miss all your teams "true" needs in this draft. Bravo. Apparently Tommy Kelly is your savor on the DL? Surely he will make all the difference in that 32nd ranked run defense.

Drafting a runningback with the number four was a good idea, especially when your team was already ranked 6th-7th? in the league in rushing yds. Adding yet another back to the 7-8 you already had was probably the best choice there. It all makes perfect sense. Good work!

Did you guys trade for DeAngelo Hall? If so, that was an awesome 2nd selection you guys had in that draft, picking up yet another CB. Sweet!

Is it still 1967? I'm just confused because I swear to all that is holy, Al Davis, is still drafting like it is. Seriously, things have evolved a smidge, someone should probably inform him that it is the year 2008.

In theory, your team needs massive help on the OL - DL. You probably could've used that coveted OLB that we coincidentally possesse now.

Yet.. Your team spent a butt load of money on players that didn't deserve that kinda cash. When you look at the moves Thee Raiders had made this offseason, you don't see a team that moved forward, you see a team that somehow managed to stay the same. That has to be (scary).

Good work addressing those needs, it should pay off. ;)

I'm going to assume you do this on purpose. No one could be that moronically delusional.

Suspending reality to look at your question practically, how the hell are we supposed to know who's even going to be worth getting with the #1 pick next year? What percentage of Jet die hards follow the draft in June? This thread is insane on multiple levels.

I am optimistic about the Jets' chances this season but this is my realistic prediction on how I see the draft shaping up next yr...

    1-KC
    2-DET
    3-MIA
    4-SF
    5-BAL
    6-ATL
    7-TEN
    8-CHI
    9-OAK
    10-STL

with the jets being somewhere in the 11-20 range, most likely on the closer end of 11.

Jeaux, I'd like to see your REALISTIC prediction of the top 10 etc. next yr.
