I thought the thread was for first round picks only, but I see people are including other rounds so I'm going to throw out a pick I thought was totally mind boggling. 2010, the Jets, on the whim of Rex Ryan, trade a 7th round pick (I think) to move from the 6th round to the 5th round to draft a FB, John Conner (The Terminator.) The only thing he terminated was his own career and maybe Rex's too. I have no problem with the pick itself, but to trade a pick to move up for a FB defies logic.

I don't get excited for favorite picks because we just don't know if a college player can succeed at the next level. As for worst picks (round 1 only), in no particular order...

Blair Thomas (his knees where shot before the draft yet the Jets still picked him)
    Kyle Brady
    Johnny Lam Jones
    Dewayne Robertson
    Roger Vick
    Johnny Mitchell
    Kyle Wilson
    Dee Milliner

Seriously? Nugent sucks, but he's not even the worst waste on a kicker, much less the worst draft pick of all time. Take a second to google Russell Erxleban (drafted 11th OVERALL. Career totals: 4 FGs, 11 PATs). Hell, the Browns drafted a punter in the 2nd round TWO YEARS IN A ROW in '78 & '79. Charlie Gogolak went 6th overall to the Redskins in '66, and he wasn't even the best Gogolak...

I remember screaming after they passed on Marino. Didn't think he would turn out to be a hall of Famer but I wanted him

A little late, but Bryan Thomas and Dee Milliner come to mind as picks I disliked. I did not pay too much attention to the draft the year we took Sanchez, and I remember thinking, who is this guy we just traded up for?

At the time, I liked the Leonard Williams and Jamal Adams picks (still do). I was thrilled (and in attendance) when we draft Nick Mangold.

    Least Favorite:

Lageman: Not for the pick but drafting him in round one.
    Gholston: I hated this pick.
Brady: I got into the Sap hype. I had nothing against Brady.
Moss I hated the trade with Pitt.
Johnny Lam Jones - I did not by into the hype that he could learn to be a WR.

    Picks I liked:
Mangold - I like any offensive line pick. Nice trade with the Falcons.
Blair Thomas - I was excited
D'Brick - loved that Tanny had the guts to take an OL at 4.
Revis _ I bought into the pre draft hype and really loved the strategy to trade picks for 2 players you really liked in such a weak draft.
Wesley Walker - Lot's of hype on him being legally blind when drafted.
Lots of really bad players I have selectively forgotten
