Bryan Thomas really pissed me off. I was in love with Ed Reed at the U, he was just dynamite. And we needed a playmaker like him on that D, and by some miracle he was still available. Bradway chose some no name DE from UAB?!?! I'm still mad

    My list wouldn't stop.

I would just go with the worse pick ever. Vernon Gholston. Are you kidding me. Workout warrior. Mike Mamula, Tony Manderich they should've known. I think he had 8 or 10 sacks his best year and 6 came in one game. It was awful. Jerrod Mayo etc. Pryor was a joke too. Brandin Cooks on the board. Please no more defense. What about Stephen Hill over Alshon Jeffrey or Jaleen Saunders and Shaq Evans over Martavious Bryant. As I said this list could take me a lifetime. We've had some awful picks. I didn't even go into Blair Thomas or Roger Vick. A fullback in round one. I saw someone mention Nugent too. A kicker. In round 6 or 7 but round 2. Awful plus we got Doug Jolley. Really they should let the fans pick. We'd do a better job. Not to mention Coples not in the league anymore. My god. Banging my head against a wall. Embarassing.

Anthony Becht pick really pissed me off because it seems like after they got 3 very good picks in that 1st round they just said ok let's waste this #1 pick

I know, but if I recall correctly, we sent draft picks to the Raiders to acquire Jolly, essentially making him our pick.

Trade rape, I believe is the term. If Jolly can’t be considered, then the other tight ends escalate to one.

Here is the trade for Jolley. Awful just awful and we picked Nugent with one of the seconds. I can't believe some of these people were allowed to get jobs. The Idzik 12 still drives me nuts. Not one of them is a productive member on any team. I'd love to really look at Rex's picks too. Something tells me not many of them are in the NFL anymore either.

My best friend is a douchebag (Patriots fan). I'll never forget being at a game with him, and in the endzone we were in Pennington connects with him and the stadium goes bonkers... just to realize that stone hands put it on the turf. He has never let go of that one and frankly I don't blame him. Fuck Becht. Also he's dropping as many passes today as an analyst as he did as an NFL TE.

Edge, I went to Hofstra a million times and watched him in practice and every pass he caught he bobbled, he should have been a tackle

Only started following in 2010, so 2011 was the first draft I followed closely. I usually end up being hopeful for each pick regardless, but at the time can be a bit disappointed.

    Least favourite:

    - Calvin Pryor: Was really hoping for either Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, or Jordan Matthews with that pick. Wasn't a fan of going all in on a 2nd round Geno, but if we did, having Matthews to help him out was preferable to taking defense. After that, was hoping Garoppolo would drop to the 3rd or 4th for us (though I doubt Idzik would have picked him).

    - Quinton Coples: When Rex had him dropping back like a linebacker, I had a bad feeling. Stephen Hill after was a bit rough, and I was hoping we'd take him in the 3rd rather than the 2nd. Was hoping for DeCastro because of the beating that Sanchez took, Upshaw in a pinch.

    - Geno Smith: To be honest, I was so glad we didn't pick him in the first round. Softened the blow. Was a bit gutted that Giovani Bernard didn't drop to us.

    - Christian Hackenberg: Like Geno before him, I warmed up a little more after the pick. I think someone posted an interesting analysis video that gave me some hope he might develop based on football IQ, but his mechanics and confidence seem to be shot.

    Most favourite:

    - Jamal Adams: When he fell to us, knew he'd be our pick. Was more than happy with that, though I would have been equally as happy with Watson or O.J. Howard.

    - Jordan Jenkins: Seemed like a really solid run stopper, with some rushing potential. We'll see if he manages to raise his game in the future.

    - Lorenzo Mauldin: Feel good story. Was pretty hyped about the pick, hopefully he is still worth something to the team.

I thought Lageman was good for us. He has been one of the few former Jets who I continued to follow closely throughout their careers--he was one of the best players for those early Jaguars teams, and they were a lot of fun to watch back then.

Worst- mike nugent. Your first pick in the draft is a kicker? That was the icing on the shit cake bradway made that year with the jolly trade.

Favorite- Vilma, I watched a lot of the U that year and couldn’t believe this stud was going to be there for us the same year we needed a mike lb

The Jets are always happening, the only differences depend on what type of Fail Fuel they are using at a given point.
