    I know I was. A week later we lost a heartbreaker to the Bills in the WC game.

    I was at that game... and the heart breaker a week later.

    Those were the last two games I saw at Shea... Fun times!

    I was there, but my memory of games was suspended after Supe III ;)

    I was at both. I enjoyed one much more so than the other.

    ALMOST witnessed the greatest NFL playoff comeback of all time.

    The late Dodger great Vin Scully returning to his old stomping grounds to announce a Jets' game. The most memorable part of this game was sack exchange giving Packer QB Lynn Dickey a certified beating. A week later, on a wet and cold day at Shea, it was a Richard Todd last second interception deep in Buffalo's end which ended up beating the Jets in the AFC WC game. The Bills stunning 24-0 first quarter lead turned out to be too much of a hole for the Jets to dig out of.

    And so this is where we are 40 years later: like some social outcasts having to beg the cool crowd for an invitation to their big dance. Gotta love progress...
