I dont even wanna see him on the field anymore ..hes getting smoked!! He's gonna get someone killed ha
I'm patient on rookies. Probably one of the most patient on this board. But Vlad has to do better. He knocked the piss out of one guy on Greene's biggest run, but he shits the bed in pass pro. Its got to improve, and improve soon.
Vlad almost got McElroy killed on the last play of the half. The kid was lucky to get down and save his life.
Watt just threw a straight up nasty swim move on Ducasse.Other than that the mistakes I see from him are mainly mental laspes. When he is confident on who his assignment is...he generally holds up in pass pro...but you can tell at every snap when he is unsure of himself, he doesn't use the right technique and makes average players look like pro bowlers. I don't know about this guy..I stand by his physical talent being the potential of a pro bowler...but he's extremely timid and doesn't adjust well to in game situations.
This......seriously I think if Turner is out for an extended period of time, they need to bring 2 OL in this week. Ducasse is like a matador. He is totally lost. I hear a lot about him being a "project" etc. The only project is going to be putting the QBs leg back together if this guy keeps up this shit play. 2nd round lineman shouldnt be a project and I dont care who wants to start flaming me for this post.
Nope, at the end of the first half they finally mentioned his name and just said "Westerman has to fill that role now that Jason Taylors gone" and showed em on the field, and that was his only mention. Its also worth noting that Lowery has been out there with the backups as well, he got that one solid pressure on Leinhart
They can be projects that are useful starting in year two, not projects that aren't useful until year 3 at the earliest.
Cumberland and Kerley are impressive. Ducasse is awful looking and McKnight is getting blown up on pass protection. Eric Smith was slow on covering the backs and TE but he's gotten some hard hits.
Ducasse definitely suffered from lack of contact with the coaches during the lockout. Young players are expected to make a big jump between their first and second seasons, but it's tough to raise expectations too much when the guy didn't get a chance to work with Callahan or Schottenheimer at all until a few weeks ago.
After tonight im really hoping Cumberland can get his blocking in check since id GREATLY prefer him as our #2 TE to Mulligan
I'm not sure if I'm positive about this but is that nick ballore who just picked up that sack? ive seen a couple of times that guy get good pressure on the qb
Wilson, our entire D-line rotation, Powell, and McElroy all impressed me. Vlad and McKnight kinda stunk it up. DePalma might have a shot as a teamer.
