Sanchez- I would like to see a crisp first drive for 6.
Bilal Powell - To see if he can run well enough to break in to the rotation this season.
Ellis - I want to see this big guy manhandle some o-linemen
Wilkerson- I want to see if he is as explosive as the Jets thinks he is
Wilson - see how being Revis' pupli has influenced his game

This--a lot riding on these guys.

I DON'T want to see a lot of Sanchez with three linemen out and Vlad at RG.

I forgot that the Jets are going to be short on the o-line. To your point if they are going to play one quarter, please let it fly by. It almost begs the question, why play him at all.

As a fellow long-suffering Jets fan, I understand where you're coming from, and am not criticizing you, but I never had ANY confidence that Vinny Interceptaverde would lead the Jets anywhere. If they won the SB with him at QB, it would have been in spite of him, with his being kept on a very short leash, not because of him. He had a trillion dollar arm and a $.02 brain. He was still making the same stupid decisions and throws during his last season as in his rookie season. He was a doofus.

Kerley, espically STs but would also love to see what hes got as a receiver
McKnight, can he be a consistent contributor to the ground and pound?
McDay, would like to see him sneaking thru the secondary from the slot
Kyle Wilson, curious to see if they play him on the outside after revis and cro come out
Ropati, just cant wait to see that monstrosity smack ppl around
Westerman, would love to see some pressures and nice sack
McElroy, could he be a reliable long-term backup qb?
Terminator, i wanna see him flatten someone ASAP
Leonhard, prob wont be out for long but just will be nice to see him out there

last but not least, REX... hopefully hell be all smiles after seeing our team and finally getting back to some football

NOW LETS GO GET A GOD DAMN SNACK!

For that one brief time though, Vinny was rolling with the Jets. When they did lose at Denver it wasn't even Vinny's fault, he had a good game and we would have crushed Atlanta again. Going into 1999 everything was still in place, so I think the injury was the key moment.

By the time he came back in 2000, Parcells was no longer coach, Keyshawn wasn't there for him in the red zone, Belichick was gone as DC, the staff was decimated and Vinny was older and rusty, reverting back to his old ways.

Special teams is a HUGE thing for us too look at this year, last year we were very solid now its very questionable.

That's what we said last year. Remember Westhoff on Hard Knocks asking, "Who the fuck are we?"

I think that's the case every year, just the nature of special teams.

I'll be interested in watching the rooks, Powell, Kerley, and MoWilk.

I also am hoping to see explosion and improvement from McKnight.

Kurt: How does Ducasse have the upside to be a pro bowl RT?? how/why was that assumption made? He hasnt shown anything that would warrant that assumption IMO, Im just hoping he keeps Sanchez healthy tonight and long term might turn into something....

I too am expecting a similar game to how you describe though.

After awhile I decided I would just stop thinking about Gholston. It was a smart move.

Not saying Ducasse has even gotten near that point, but I do think speculating about him having upside to be a pro bowl RT is just kind of weird at this point. Let's have him show us something first.

Vlad Ducasse's development is something to follow, but I actually want to see the rooks in pass rush. I hear the defense is "killin' it" in practice so lets see how we can forget about letting an 11-year vet go and a guy stepping in his place whose best game was against Kent St. last season.

I'm actually not worried about Mark at all this season, last summer he raised a lot of questions, and sucked up the preseason. We'll see some (maybe a lot of) McElroy, that'll be cool, but Shonn Greene needs to be the "beast" we all expect him to be

Ducasse has a HUGE UPSIDE and has been progressing steadily w/Callahan's mentoring. He could become an AP at RT. Its way too early to be passing judgment on Big Vlad. Some of you folks need to chill.

Yeah, bart scott gets dinged - the kid has a tackle for loss and a sack.

I have 11 chicken eggs by the way.

Ducasse has given up a sack and let another dude get Sanchez. He better bring that upside soon. He is looking slow out there, blokes are flying past him.
