If Vick clearly plays better than Geno in the preseason then Vick starts. You're right Geno had no offense, so let's see some real improvement with some guys to throw to. The Jets organization all want Geno to win this competition, so he will have plenty of opportunities. If he can't use those opportunities to win the job, Vick deserves it.
THis post I agree with. I don't understand why fairness supposedly gives Smith the upper hand over Vick. If Smith were to come to camp, show significant improvement and essentially tie Vick in his performance, I would give the tie breaker to him. But that's not a matter of fairness. That's seeing what upside the talent that is more raw might have. Otherwise the better player plays. And that is fair, btw.
