agree mr cakes - past winners never have similar success with another club. parcells, gruden and vermeil are exceptions.

If Payton leaves New Orleans it will be to coach the Cowboys. I would be shocked if he is not coaching one of those two teams in 2013.

Greg Roman and Jay Gruden are two young offensive coordinators who are going to be NFL head coaches. Roman is a stern coach and is highly thought of throughout the league.

Gruden has been the head coach of AFL and UFL teams and has done a good job with the Bengals offense.

Rex Ryan silly. If he failed this year, it would be the first time the JETS finish under .500. And again, this is the year he should get a pass for key players being injured and Tanny screwing the team up. Goodbye..

People are smoking some good weed if they think any of the veteran HCs listed would work for Woody. We’d have drive a dump truck of money to their front lawn for them to even consider it.

No our next HC will be like our last 4 – a rookie.

He is very responsible for the lack of talent. We don't know for sure how much he is to blame for the personnel procurement (25%, 40%, 50%?), but we know Ryan has a major say in it.

When did finishing over .500 become the high water mark on coaches? I totally appreciate the 2 Championship games, but both of those season were full of last minute heroics and shit luck in several games to get us there.

We we're not a power house who fell off pace these last two years, we were an average team who had a few lucky breaks to make the play-offs, now we are an average team who hasn't had the lucky breaks.

Rex and Co. have done little to bring in more talent, little to improve the talent we have and very little to design schemes that highlight our players abilities.

    This.

I dont care if he installs another bounty program and gets thrown out of the league in 3 years. Let him draft a real NFL qb, develop him, and go from there.

The NFL is about qb's now, not about defenses that get shredded every time they see a good qb.

You win with offense. Go get Sean Peyton and lets do this the right way, not in 1985 style.

I'd like Chucky, but no big name is going to come here. The team is destroyed and talentless. It could ruin any coaches career. They wont come here. We will have to get a rookie who wants a shot. I'd vote Roman, but even he would probably decline. We must make the move though. The talent will only get worse and more draft pick busts. I can't believe we drafted a lazy d lineman in the first round, and then a receiver who cant catch in the second. These things were known before the pick. This has to stop right now.

dude, REX IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. The focus should be put on Tanny, not REX. This team this year lacks talent and that is why the JETS suck right now. We have lost key players over the years and this year due to injury. Rex is not at fault. I'm done.

Of course Sean Payton would be excellent but he is not coming here. He will either stay at New Orleans or move to Dallas for family reasons.

Rex is the best remaining alternative.

It's not a guarantee that Payton would go to.Dallas if he leaves New Orleans. Hes from San Diego and could go there.

None of the big names are coming here. Don't even discuss the possibility of a Gruden/Payton/Cowher. The owner and the lack of a QB take those names off the table. Why would Payton leave NO? He has the best chance to win there.

Im sticking with Rex and bringing in Norv Turner as OC...this Sporano is a joke.......to have Sanchez passing lastnite when it was a scoreless game and in the redzone, and we were moving it on the ground........ignorant..........and we all knew it.......fire that clown today! Thats were the game turned, we were moving it downfield on the ground, and we go to the pass as soon as we hit the redzone, and it all went to fuck after that....I still say sanchez sucks, but thats another thread....of the 53 players on this roster, there may be only half of them that should even be here........hey guys and gals, its pathetic....but i believe Rex is the guy to fix it.....dont want another coach

i wouldn't say these guys don't have the same fire. coaching is what they live for, these are all competitive guys. winning the super bowl isn't easy, its something people can usually only dream of. sometimes its just lack of talent (mike ditka for example)

I don't want recycled coaches. Just keep hiring young guys until we strike gold with the next great one. Might take 50 years, but we can wait.
