Vinny did underthrow him and it's not like he did anything else that game, Chad gave us our best chance to win at that time.

Statistically but he won 10 games for us coming off his 2nd major shoulder surgery w/in the previous 2 years.

That is a strange comment because Sanchez has won more when it counts than both Testaverde and Pennington combined.

I think this was a trick question because none of them were a favorite although I have a Pennington jersey. I liked Favre. Still waitng for my favorite QB.

AFTER, schotty leaves I am hoping it becomes Sanchez.

There should be an option for the next one.

That was the first Jet game I ever went too. Still to this day I will NEVER understand that playcall. I think we were up 7 or 10, driving down the field at the end of the half. Paul Hackett was our OC that year right?

I also remember a drunk guy came up to me while I was in line to get into the stadium, put his arm around me and goes 'Bro, I just took a shit in the parking lot.'

My two takeaways from that game.

Where is the Jay Feidler love? Didn't he throw one pass as a Jet before his season ended?

That 2005 season was just abysmal. Had such high hopes that year after the brutal playoff loss with Doug Brien. Pennington and Feidler got knocked out for the season in a matter of 15 minutes.

Went with Vinny, although I was a huge fan of Pennington and remain in Sanchez's corner as well.

Also, this post breaks my boycott of all things Jets since the Denver game. Getting too old for this shit.

My point was that the idea of 35 year old Chad Pennington being a good fit for the 2011 Jets was the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Sanchez doesn't get nostalgia points like the others do.

I picked Chad. It could have easily been Vinny. I am certain if Vinny doesn't rupture his Achilles tendon week one against the pats, a phantom injury, the Jets win the super bowl.

Pretty exciting year anyway with Ray Lucas.

Than vinny came back and beat the Bucs for us. Finally, he did the gayest thing ever joining the pats and got lost in the sauce.

Pennington without a doubt for me. Guy had heart, intelligence, and was a true leader for our team. Though the injuries pretty much diminished his effectiveness at all, he was still able to inspire the troops every sunday. Its a shame the combination of injuries and luck, we were never able to win/go far with him.

Testaverde had a nice run, but In my opinon Pennington was a better leader. and an all around class act.

amen! plus, he had an arm that could make all the throws in cold weather, a necessity in the playoffs.

the only other guy was bollinger , who could move and throw on the run. he spent years in minny after the jets and won games there as a backup.

i'd feel more comfortable now if he was here instead of brunell. you could actually pull sixchez out of a game and still have a chance to win.

Yeah, the Jets were up 14-0 at that point I believe. Could have been 17-0 at the least, instead it was 14-7 at the half. Terrible day.

Sanchez has already taken the Jets as far as Vinny did. Twice.

My vote was for Chad. Makes me think about timing and how well Chad Pennington would have fit in with these Jets teams. I don't think he could have played any better than Sanchez has in the post season but in the regular season, with the defense, running game, and offensive weapons we have had over the past two years, I would put good money that if Chad was running this offense we would have had a few home playoff games. Wonder if that would have made the difference with us getting over the hump.
