slow down on Alabama prospects OJ Howard and Reuben Foster are elite prospects i mean julio jones kind of good at their respective positions.
Damn i didnt realize the Lattimore hate was so mutual lol, i like him actually he just sticks to guys like glue but i get it he does have injury concerns and id rather not a Dee Milliner part 2 on my hands. I've honestly always have liked Sidney Jones better and he's my top CB technically speaking he's the best and had pretty good combine. I just don't want a CB that high because we can honestly get a starter in the 3rd this year with how insanely deep this class is.
If Jonathan Allen can play nose tackle it might not be a bad pick. Without Snacks our defense couldn't catch a cold last year.
As far as the guy i dont want its Fournette, I'm good on RBs that high especially in the 1st round. And especially when your team might have the worst talent in the league. Why would you draft a RB that high when in terms of expectancy they tend to have the shortest careers and when its comes to getting a 2nd contract it isn't a position you want to hand out a lot of money to. You have to be ready, your team has to be ready like Dallas when its comes to justifying taking a RB that high, the idea made sense O-Line is sured up, Tony Romo is fragile and old, we need to to take pressure off of him and get an ELITE running game. Also the defense is weak and getting great running game helps keep the defense off the field and in that sense making them fresher. Plus if Jaylon Smith, the best LB prospect last year, can some how and i pray that he does get back healthy that might be one of the greatest hauls team ever got in one single draft when also include Prescott. See u can justify Zeke in that draft cause if you're Dallas u just got 3 1st rounders so no biggie that one of them was a RB. Well our O-Line sucks and ask Minnesota how drafting a RB high worked out for them, by the time their defense got good he got old and he was too late. And yeah Todd Gurley sure helped Goff out a lot in his 1st year as a pro. So if I can get that and Mac can't and still drafts Fournette high, I'm gonna start losing a lot in this guy. We aren't ready were no where close so why choose your RB high now??? Build your team up first.
u know after all these years I have already accepted the fact that I wont like anybody they pick at 6. LOL. well maybe garrett if he does a few bongers. LOL
NO!!, stop drafting lineman Stop , u can find guys to play the run for cheap all of the time can we please get some guys who can make plays on the outside. Remember were the team who got Sione Pouha for cheap and Snacks was a late round pick and hell even Kenrick Ellis played well here, we can clearly find guys who can play NT. Get a playmaker already
seriously - No RB or OT is worth the pick 6......QB - Its already a crapshoot and QB's double the crapshoot but can be twisted into being OK with trubinsky. Not saying the RB's aren't good, just not at 6 - mid first round at best. still have the man crush for TE howard, as I have already documented.
Get real. It would be horrible. We have no need at NT, and how many of the Jets' 1st round picks have already gone to the DL over the last 6-10 years? We already have too much money tied up in the DL. It would be insane to tie up more. You just don't get team salary structure and the cap.
in the first round I don't want any O-line, QB or DL. (obviously no kickers or punters either, but I think that kind of goes without saying). (edit) if the Jets were to trade down to 15 or lower I might be okay with certain O-line prospects...not ecstatic, but ok.
There are plenty in this draft I would freak out if they take them. First one is Hooker then Foster. I agree with the others about Lattimore. This draft is deep in secondary prospects but it also has tons of risky picks. My last one is Trubinsky. I don't think he is worthy of top 5. I hope he doesn't slip to the Jets and Macc is backed into a panic corner.
Really now? So Dont'a Hightower has no impact on the Patriots? What about CJ Mosley from the Ravens? Both were Alabama products before Foster came onto the scene and most believe Foster is better then both linebackers. BTW both of those players I am sure are Pro Bowl players.
He didn't put us in a worse negotiating position. If a team wants to trade with us, there are 30 other teams they potentially have to worry about beating them to the punch and providing us a better offer. We lost zero leverage by him saying we're open to business. I had no problem with it.
Snacks is making like $7 mil per year or more with the Giants. Cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap. Sure, you can find Brady in round six but the odds are not so good.
Don't want a DB or DT period at #6. We can land a solid DB in the 2nd or 3rd because this draft is deep at DB.
I actually love Lattimore as a prospect. I think he's far and away the best CB in this draft, but with as many good CBs that are going to come out of this draft, his injury history isn't worth the risk. It's a shame because he effortlessly sticks to receivers and even if they get some separation on them, he's so fast that the mirrors their speed and then just catches up with his own burst to make the defense. Elite athlete with ball skills. I want no part of Dalvin Cook, and this is coming from a guy who last season thought Cook was THE guy. After the combine it's apparent he's not athletic enough to be the same kind of player in the league. Fumble issues, off the field issues. As for a player I do like, if Obi Melifonwu drops the the second round we'd better take him. He has corner speed in a linebacker's frame and can potentially play EITHER safety spot, or corner. I think testing him at corner may sow us an extremely physical asset down the road to pair with Burris.
