Dan Marino sure hated him :D

Bruce Coslet didn't like him and replaced him with Lonnie Young, who was pretty good.

I believe Coslet felt that he was undisciplined and not a complete all around safety, and that he didn't tackle. He was a ball hawk

Am I just wishing this happened, but didn't Brady catch a pass once because it got caught in his face mask???

Big play guy, I thought when we got him with his size and athleticism, we had a pro bowl safety for years, but he wasn't that bad

I remember. It was surprising to me at the time that Coslet preferred Young.

He was all pro against Marino tho. He really didn't have a great career after the promising start tho

I'm sorry, but I could not help reading ONE LINE from the NY Times Article:

"Meanwhile, O'Brien - with the finest offensive-line protection he has enjoyed since joining the Jets -gained 479 yards, completing 29 of 43 attempts."

Yep. Fact. He played behind ONE...count'em ONE offensive lineman that went to the pro bowl.

Look at his (Sad) sack totals....

IMO he wasn't that good and he wanted a lot more than he was worth.

Erik McMillan was and excellent DB as was James Hasty, both of whom are underated IMO. Aaron Glenn and Marcus Coleman come to mind as well. These guys get lost because the team was so bad. Not to mention Kelly and Marino were in their haydays when these guys played

He was a fabulous, textbook tackler.

Cherbet was a good player for us but he wasn't half as good as Key.
