Me'um sad at your anger. Otherwise, happy as a lark.

Just out of curiosity I decided to take a crack at the no. 1 and no. 2 QB’s for each of the franchises

Cardinals 1. Kurt Warner 2. Neil Lomax 3. Jim Hart 4. Carson Palmer
Panthers 1. Cam Newton 2. Jake Delhomme
Jaguars 1. Mark Brunell 2. David Garrard
Detroit 1. Bobby Layne 2. Matt Stafford
possibly Cleveland 1. Otto Graham 2. Bernie Kosar
Houston / Tennessee 1. Warren Moon 2. Steve McNair
Minneosta 1. Fran Tarkenton 2. Tied by Many (Tommy Kramer, Wade Wilson, 90’s group Moon, Cunningham and George)
New England 1. Tom Brady 2. Drew Bledsoe

I’d say we rank behind New England, Cleveland, Detroit and Houston/Tennessee

We are equal with the Cardinals

Minnesota, Carolina and the Jaguars are below us

I really can't. Bledsoe from 94-98 was in the elite level QBs. He was crap in 99 and beyond....took too many beatings. Kosar took the Browns the AFCCG 3-times and was two heartbreaks away from the SB (The Drive in 86 and the Fumble in 87).

On second thought, I agree that Penny is better than Stafford.

Hart was really good as well. The Cards had some pretty good QB's. They've also had some awful one's.

I disagree about Bledsoe, I always thought he was incredibly overrated. Curtis carried him to a SB where he threw it away. He was like O'Brien, both statues that took way too many sacks looking for the big play.

Kosar I can agree with, I get blinded by how bad he was later in his career.

Stafford has all the tools, there's something missing w/ him though.

I hate to sound cynical, but I just really don't care about this stuff. Just cleansing my head of the past 4 years and hoping this breath of fresh air that has blown in to the Jets organization will make the right moves. Dwelling over past crap seems to unveil more bad and heartbreak than I really care to reminisce about.

Some of us enjoy talking about the past. It's fun for us to discuss NFL/Jets History. You don't have to click the thread ... It's not really like the Title was misleading or anything ;)

Kosar was definitely bad towards the end... No doubt. You have to wonder if the side arm motion is what mostly caused his decline.

You are right that Bledsoe took a lot of punishment looking for the big plays. But when he had Coates and Terry Glenn he could really light it up. He was a shooting star... Great for a bit but then fizzled out quickly.

I disagree, I'd take Chad at least over the incredibly overrated Bledsoe and Stafford.

Stafford puts up some serious numbers, more than Chad ever did.

    silliness.

by the way ya'll forgot Tampa Bay.

    1) Doug Williams 2) Brad Johnson? Dilfer? Garcia for 2 years? (steve young doesn't count)

I'll give Pennington the nod over those guys although 2 of them have SB rings and he doesn't, they won with unreal defenses. and Dilfer sucked in Tampa

That puts us better than Tampa, Minnesota, Carolina and Jax.. 2 "newly" formed teams who have never won a SB, 1 of the worst overall franchises in history, traditionally and another who's never won a SB.

    We need some QBs!

Plus he stays on the field. Duh. Other than missing some games his first two years, he's been in all sixteen four years in a row. And counting. China Dollington played all 16 exactly twice in 11 years.

    And Houston

ETA - I thought he had Houston for the Oilers not the Texans... My fault.

there's nothing silly about it, NE went from one of the worst teams in the league to a dynasty when Bledsoe got hurt. Chad took 1-15 Miami and led them to 11-5 and div title. Since 2001 only 2 QBs have led their teams to AFC East titles- Brady and Chad('02, '08)
