Rodgers looks/is ridiculously good. I think if his career pans out without injuries or mental collapse he'll be remembered as a top ten qb all time. He's relatively young too, given some more years and experience he probably hasn't hit his ceiling yet.
I've been around but the basic argument here is: Has Rodgers been the second best QB behind that guy named Brady? I say NO. I will admit he's a baller. But how many votes would he have received in this poll had he not gone on his current hot streak? No doubt he's playing "lights out" right now ... prolly the hottest QB in the NFL.
Uh. So we aren't supposed to factor in a hot streak that led his team to the most important thing in football? Well damn now that you put it that way...
But that hot streak was in the postseason so it carries a bit more weight than a nice streak in the regular season. And a run like this can help a qb turn the corner like it did for eli manning
Well dang! We have to disqualify Dan Marino as one of the top QB's of all time because he never won the big one. That's a crying shame.
And why isn't Eli in this debate as the second best QB? Afterall, he did win a ring just like Rodgers.
I'm pretty sure nobody here thought Eli Manning was the 2nd best QB in the league the day after he won the Super Bowl. We can look that up, too, by taking a look at threads that were started the week after Super Bowl 42.
I'm shocked at how many people went with Rogers. He had a great season and played great in the superbowl, but I'd like to see him have sustained success over at least a 3-4 year period before I consider him the 2nd best QB in the league. It sure looks like he's headed that direction, but I'm surprised at the votes.
