Meh. You're probably right about such a poll. But it remains far from clear that Smith will ever surpass Sanchez.

    My answer would be neither.

If I really had to choose the answer would be Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr.

Me too. The Jets handled Carr, but he showed he has the fundamentals to succeed. Haven't seen Teddy play yet, though.

How about if you think he will be good only because of MM?

I particularly didn't like the Raiders game plan of having Carr throw short passes all day, they should have went vertical more often. I really like Carr. Raiders got a good prospect.

Bridgewater has yet to play, but we should see him in a couple weeks when Cassel starts sucking.

Well that isnt one of the poll options....

Geno hasnt shown me enough to pick him over a good OC. Question is better served for the end of the season.

I understand why the Jets did not go Qb in this year's draft, but it really was bad timing. Carr would have been a great addition to the Jets. Oakland did very well getting him.

I would have done things different for sure I agree.

I really wanted the Jets to solidify the offensive line and get some weapons in 2013 in Idzik's first year, then get the QB in 2014. Oakland got a good prospect for sure.

They did the next best thing. They took a flyer on a late round QB.

I thought he'd at least be competent against 3rd stringers. The book isn't written on Boyd yet IMO.

It's a wrap IMO. The guy I would have taken the flyer on is Stephen Morris. While he does not possess the intangibles that Boyd does, he possess 1st round arm talent and athleticism. With a OC like MM in the building, I rather bank on talent that late in the draft.

Geno is more valuable because of the intangibles such as running with the ball. Also it is great that he has Vick pushing him. If there is no worry about being replaced then you just do whatever you please.

    'Nuff said........!

(tho' I wish he would obliterate those assinine, double-QB/wild-kat, goal-line tricky-dick plays from his playbook)!

Interesting question. I voted MM. I think that he's adept at using the skill-set that an individual has and adjusts things to that end. If Geno were to go down I think he could adjust fairly easily for Vick, but in an emergency I think that he could adapt an efficient plan for using Simms and get the most out of him.
