    hmmm *research*

He started 14 games last year. It was OTA's that he was with the 1's. As late as July, he was thought to be in the running for starting RG. Was working with the backups by August and unceremoniously dumped in September.
Just seems like a really big fall.

Interesting LT parallel, let's hope its just weed ;) Interesting to see if Bowles has double standards. Also found this quote from him after the suspension: "We will support Oday as we continue with our preparations for the upcoming season." Will be fun to watch unfold.

He was our 2nd team LG in preseason. Started the final game at LG, Dozier took over in the 2nd half.

A bit of a shock for me since he did play well last year. Not sure why they just didn't cut him before the season started. I think he will get claimed off waivers but of not, I think he is still practice squad eligible since he is a 3rd year player. Thought he showed promise would have rather kept him over Winters, Dozier or Harrison

This is a bit of a head scratcher to me. When you consider how awful Winters was, at least this dude was serviceable. there was a clear improvement immediately, when he took his place.

Don't forget that was in a Zone blocking scheme. The Jets are now playing a man blocking scheme. Maybe Aboushi isn't as good in a man scheme as he is a zone scheme. I trust Bowles/Mac.

Last year the Jets' OL played a zone blocking scheme. This year they're playing a man blocking scheme. Evidently, Aboushi is not as good a fit in a man scheme as he is a zone scheme.

Aboushi was beat out in 3 straight camps, with 2 different coaching staffs.
i'm not at all surprised he was cut.......especially after a suspension.

That's exactly what I wanted to try with Couples. Can you imagine if Couples could catch AND go toe to toe blocking guys like Richardson?

They're probably saving the Bohanan cut for when Ridley comes off IR. We'll still dress 3 RBs, but Bohanan won't be one of them.
