It's a great thing he didn't holdout, and was mature enough to realize he needs to get out there right away. I started thinking it was Clemen's job to lose, but Sanchez wants this job right now.
Of course you never know exactly how the media chooses to spin this stuff, but I've been reading quite a bit about the battle in TC and so far haven't heard anything very positive regarding Clemens' play - even his own quotes don't sound very confident (while it sounds like Sanchez is pretty damn confident in his ability to lead the team). I don't know - doesn't seem like things are boding to well for Kellen at this point. Yes, it's still early, but I'll have to vote Sanchez.
Ahahaha...so true. Actually, with all of our medical advances, is it possible to be carrying twins from two separate sources yet?
I like Clemens and I think he might give us a better shot this season, but the writing's on the wall.. Sanchez is Rex's guy and barring some catastrophe he'll get the nod.
Look, I don't know what Sanchez is going to be, and no one does, and if they say they do they are full of shit. However, the first time he effing touched the ball, he showed me 2 things that Clemens hasn't shown me in 4 seasons - 1) I have yet to see, in practice, preseason, or game, Clemens throw a deep ball as accurate as that pass 2) He looked off the safety and fired the ball down the right side. I have yet to see Clemens look off a d back. He locks in on the primary receiver from the line of scrimmage and holds his eyes on him till he throws. He did it in his rookie year, and he did it against the Rams. I don't know if Sanchez is the guy, but for this 40 year+ Jet fan, he has already showed me more than Clemens.
If Mark Sanchez continues to play like he did on Friday night, I will be more than happy to point out how wrong I was in this thread.
