    Revisionist history.

I loved Cotch but he wanted out for one reason and one reason only. Money.

He was relegated to third WR after they signed Plax and he felt he wasn't going to get his next big contract if he saw even fewer throws his way. And he was just coming off of back surgery.

Had nothing to do team chemistry or me-first guys or wanting to play for a team first atmosphere.

He wanted to be the number two so that the next year he could score big. And that 2011 year was going to allow him to strike it rich. And I also recall some noise from his wife about him being disrespected when they were pursuing Mason which would have pushed him further down on the depth chart.

As big as a dick as Rex was, most everyone loved playing for him. It's hogwash to think he left nearly $2mm on the table because of team chemistry.

In terms of rooting for someone to get a ring (or two) before going out in style it's Manning (2), Ware and Smith vs Cotchery, Davis and Allen. Of this group I'm probably rooting for the Panthers.

Kind of sucks to root for Cortland Finnegan... Hate the guy...

I want to see Cotchery win a SB.

I hope the power goes out when Coldplay starts singing and comes back on only when it is time for the 2nd half.

I also hope the commercials get away from that PSA bullshit about bullying, black lives matter, accepting muslims , concussions, transgender issues, and what ever else. Just show frogs saying budweiser and scantily clad women simulating sexual acts with Thickburgers.

I disagree. I believe Cotchery wanted to have an NFL level quarterback throw him the ball. He also wanted a coach that wasn't Sideshow Bob's retarded cousin.

we will agree to disagree here, but I do agree on this - you hit the nail on the head: REX was/is a dick.

I'm getting just a bit tired of seeing all these ex-Jets winning rings when they leave. That just screams of poor talent evaluation on our part. Hopefully, this new regime will put a stop to this.

You'd better pray that the halftime show doesn't get hijacked by Disney or Cartoon Network or any other kid centric organization. Another "Left Shark" episode and I'm done watching halftime shows.

He left because he saw what the culture was going to turn into. He did want to be more valued on the depth chart but he was right in that regard. Why should he have been playing 4th string to a washed up Mason and a recently out of prison Plaxico? And he knew the type of person Holmes was. For someone of character and a loyal Jet, the organization showed no loyalty to him. He was right to leave and it wasn't over money.

Who the fuck said he was a bad guy?

The bullshit is that he left because of team chemistry.

He had every right to leave for money.

Go find a third grader to read the thread to you.
