Browner is not a big deal, he's an average player that was made to look better b/c of the great pass rush and safeties on that team.

Not saying he is a game changer but you couple the beginning of the season, before some players have really come into form, with missing a player or 2 and they would probably have a better chance against the Pats rather than week 10 when the Pats have had time to make all their adjustments with the new players they have picked up in the off season.

We don't even know who the Jets quarterback will be; if Smith, he needs time to continue to improve and get used to new receivers; if Vick, he needs to get in synch with a new team.
Hopefully, with new additions to Jets line, they'll need time to gel into an efficient unit.
New receivers need to learn the pro game.
    Ditto running backs.
New corner(s) and safety need to become part of a unit.

Patriots are just filling in a few holes and will be in better shape early than the Jets.

Assuming the Jets will be carrying at least a couple of new receivers do you think they could use some game experience before facing Revis?

Ditto with CB and S facing Brady?

Nice! Always good to see the schedule when it first comes out to try and wee what games to attend!

one thing that;s annoying about schedule releases is everyone going down the list to try and predict the Ws and Ls. I know its something to do in the offseason but its a complete waste of time, especially before the draft, OTAs, training camp and preseason even happen

Lulz, I remember Herm Edwards saying the Broncos would go 9-7 the first year they had Peyton. He picked out all these losses, I was just like "what I am watching" and just turned off ESPN and analyzed the schedule online.

Maybe for Jets fans. last 3 seasons series is 5-1, last 10 seasons 17-6. Let me assure you, Patriots fans find Denver and Baltimore much bigger rivals

The Pats and Dolphins are our best rivalries, as the Jets always play hard against these teams and there is a lot of history. NE v BAL is a great rivalry, but personally I don't think NE v DEN is a meaningful rivalry. Brady v Manning, sure that's great but if Manning goes down week 1 and never plays again, the Pats won't give 2 craps about DEN. NE v IND is a good rivalry too. The Jets were building some really good rivalries with NE, PIT, and BAL before the drop off in 2011. I think NYJ v NE is still a great rivalry, but the only one the Jets are involved in. The Jets haven't played Peyton a since 2010, and he and Rex had a good thing going. Peyton comes to visit this year so that could be a good game depending on what time of year it's played. But yeah I think your top 3 rivalries in terms of team v team go

    NE-BAL
    NE-IND
    NE-NYJ

The Brady-Manning rivalry is an all time great but it doesn't really transcend to a great NE v DEN rivalry, you know what I mean? I think the NE-NYJ rivalry has the potential to jump right up to the top though.

I'd love to play Miami the first game of the season. Living in Miami as a Jets fan is such a pain in the ass. Not because I am ashamed, but because the ignorance among Dolphin fans is beyond imaginable. They result to the same bullshit argument every time they are backed into a corner: "we are the only undefeated team in NFL history". Watching them lose is priceless, but watching the Jets beat them is life's greatest gift. If I could see us kick their ass on opening day, I would be ecstatic. That would really start the season of right.

There are two things I hate most in this world: Dolphin fans and Heat fans. Both I can't stand

Same here. Honestly I know there are good ones but people from Miami really just suck in general. I say that as someone who lives in south Florida, not as a sports fan.

I would hate it if we open against the fish and I also have hated when we played the Patriots in openers,,,,those are 2 games that need no hype and takes little to get up for ! The opener is a game that I would rather play anyone else ,save the dolphin and Patriot games for a little later in the year thank you ,,,,,,

All the Pat fans I know always get excited for Jets game. Maybe to them it's an easy win idk. I haven't been to a Jet game since the thanksgiving embarrassment. Might have to go this year
