I voted the Baltimore Ravens. Like a lot of people, I'm tired of the home opener against the Pats already, and would rather see our home game against Miami in November or December. Minnesota, well, it'd be nice to whip Favre in our first game in the new stadium, but I don't bear him as much ill will as a lot of people do. Although I wouldn't mind seeing AP have to deal with a run defense that has a fresh Kris Jenkins early in 2010. But Baltimore I think has a much better storyline than the Vikings. Rex's former team, with his former big-time playmakers, against the new titanic defense he is building. 2 young up-and-coming QBs with an intriguing set of weapons and very solid run games. I just like the way they match up and I'd be really pumped to see that game on Monday night.
In the Daily News article, they mentioned Detroit as a possible opponent. I'm all for it! This needs to be a win. Our division opponents would be fired up to beat us in our new stadium opener....way too much incentive.
Good old Daily News. I'm assuming it was the research-master, Rich Cimini. Too bad the Lions are already scheduled as an AWAY opponent.
