Per Manish "Jets will be bringing in former Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron for an interview for their vacant OC job, per source."

    One of Rex's guys!

This hire would upset me very much, he was fired for not using his star player on offense, and we are giving him an interview.

I would rather have Morninwig as OC than this clown.

I don't want Cameron or Morninwig. isn't Whisenhunt still unemployed? why aren't we going after him?

BUT he's one of Rex's guys! Woody has complete confidence in Rex to hire the right coach! His mirror image!

if we get Hue and Carson Palmer is cut by the Raiders I can see both of them coming in. Maybe Carson can give us 2-3 years of above average play and Hue is madly in love with him.

For a board full of supposed "football experts", I'm surprised Mornhinweg's name didn't come up once in a thread about potential OC candidates. I casted my vote for Mornhinweg weeks ago. This guy is highly regarded in NFL circles as one of the great current offensive minds and he possesses one of the more impressive resumes you'll find an offensive coordinator position.

He also fits the mold of what I believe the Jets should be looking for in an OC. Someone with head coaching and/or assistant head coaching experience so Rex can delegate with confidence. Also, someone with proven success developing, grooming and/or working with QBs (Young, Garcia, Favre, McNabb, Cobb, Feeley, Vick...etc.). And my personal requirement, someone with a West Coast offensive play book. I'm of the belief that if Sanchez has a chance of being at least serviceable, it would be under this kind of offensive system.

Carson Palmer is almost as shitty as Mark Sanchez

I think he'd be a better option than Sanchez especially if we get Hue

Carslon Palmer may be one of the worst qb's and the NFL and completely unable to play on the NFL level, but he's no Sanchez..

Carson Palmer was way better in 2012 than Suckchez. I would take Palmer over Chez in a heartbeat.

His cap hit is huge so Oakland may cut him and draft a young guy and build that way, plus us showing interest in Hue Jackson who said "Palmer is one of the top guys in the league at his best" makes me think he's a good stop gap

^Source or just your thinking? That could be a legit option. We need to just trade Samchez for Matt Flynn while we're at it.

speculation but again Oakland is in cap trouble and will go to him asking him to restructure his deal, so its likely he does that or gets cut, re-uniting with Hue Jackson would be a plus for him as well

Imo Flynn is the worst possible choice. Would require a trade ergo pissed away draft pick plus adding another bad contract to the Turnover Machine's already disastrous 2013 contract

Matt Moore is cheaper and a free agent in addition to being a better QB than Flynn

If we don't like interceptions then Palmer probably isn't our guy.
