Not sure that's a fair barometer, though. Revis dominates most WRs, we all know the list. Not necessarily saying Welker is a #1 but it's hard to go by that.
Welker is a good receiver taking advantage of an opportunity given to him. He is not a traditional #1 receiver, but he excels in the situation he is in.
Same with me. I get a lot of shit from my friends over hating the Giants more than the Pats. I was probably one of a handful of Jets fan who rooted for the Pats when they were undefeated that year. I wanted to see history, and I hated the Giants, mostly cause of Eli (always thought he was the most overrated QB until this year, and their fans). So I was pissed when Eli was graced with the luckiest catch of all time, coupled with an easy INT that Samuels dropped.
we normally don't put Revis on him, that's how much they think of him. he's a good player but he benefits from the attention of others and playing w/ the best QB of this generation.
Ok, Welker is a good player I am just saying that he benefits from the other players around him and he helps other players on his team too. I just really hate the guy so its hard for me to give him the credit he deserves I guess.
I can't disagree. But I'm not quite sure whether the traditional mold of a #1 wide receiver applies as much as it did a few years ago.
I hate them all.....The only thing that sucks is when the Giants win it draws more attention to the Jets when they don't do well.
im sure i already posted in this thread but theres no reason not to say it again. i used to root for the patriots because i felt bad for them, thats just how much of a fucking shame they were. i dont like them but i realize their fans will all disappear in 5 years when brady leaves. so they dont really matter. the dollfags however... there is no level of bad that could happen to the dollfags that would make me feel bad for them. i dont care that they have sucked for a decade, i still hate them 10 times more than any other team.
 Right now its a tie for me both pats and fins. I enjoy watching them lose. Pats used to be bad for the longest time so they were never in the picture. They'll lose a lot of fans when brady retires and go back to being horrible. But you are right, no matter how bad the dolphins will be I'll always hate them.
Your absolutely right, but for what's gone down in recent years between the Jets and Pats for example:Belicheck leaving the Jets to go to the pats after a day, the jets disabling Drew Bledsoe causing the emergence of Brady, Mangini vs. Belicheck, spygate, etc. All these past scandals between these 2 teams, have ingrained the Pats as a hated Rival forever, just like the fins. Also the Pats are a Boston team. When it comes to sports NY and Boston are bitter rivals ex:Yankees/Bosox, Knicks/Celtics, Rangers/Bruins, Jets/Pats...etc... I agree with mostly everything you said, including most Jets fans eternal hatred for the fins, but now there is no other choice, but to include the Pats in the same category as the fins, if not more.
yeah your right it has become a big rival. the both teams being good have really added to it. i know i will never root for them again in any game... i guess they will always be second fiddle on my hate o meter to the phins. younger guys i could see why they would hate the pats more as the rivalry has been much better the past 10 years.
Yep, Guys like you and me, who actually grew up with the dolphins rivalry will probably choose fins as the number 1 hated team, ex: Mud bowl, Marino draft blunder, O'brien vs. Marino, Fake spike, Monday Night Miracle...etc. and I have even more reason to hate them because I actually lived in Miami and dealt with them and their rooty pooh fans for many years until I came back, but also for me the Pats are a veeeeery close second, in fact sometimes I hate'em more than the Fins. It's also true, these younger Kats growing up nowadays are gonna feel just as strong toward hating the pats as we do for the Fins. Another team that rattles my nerves now, and is my number 3 hated team in the Hate'O meter is surprisingly not the bills, which it should be because they're a division team, but the bills really don't bother me. That number 3 spot go's to the Giants. When I lived in Miami, I was one of those dudes, if my team didn't make it, I'd probably root for the other New York team, after all why not? they're in a completely seperate conference, and we don't play them but once every 4 years, but that all changed when I came back home to NYC/NJ. Just when I thought I was done with all the Jets bashing by fins fans when I left Miami, now I have to deal with Jets bashing from Giant fans. I've grown to dislike them so much I don't care if they ever win another game. Their fans love to trash my jets, and my take on it is, you don't like my Jets, I don't like you (meaning the Giants of course). The only way I'll root for big blue is if it's gonna help out the Jets, other than that they can go F-themselves.
