The Bills next three games are: vs Clev, at KC, vs SF. So if they win this week, they could very well go 9-3 and that wouldn't be good, you don't want a team pulling ahead in the division. Plus if the Pats lose this week, that would mean that they'd need to suffer a 3 game losing streak (when's the last time that happened?) if we're gonna beat 'em next week. I hate rooting for the Pats as much as anyone, but I don't think a Pats win would be that bad this weekend.
If I was forced to root for one of the two. It would be buffalo because of my deeply rooted hate for the pats. I cannot stand the pats and would never root for them to win. :jets:
I'd think the Pats only because they lost last week and a loss this week turns their game against us into the Colts game against them.... an absolute season saving must win. We've already been in one of those (San Diego) and got killed on the road. Throw in the fact that Buffalo would then fall to 0-3 in the conference and essentially be a game and a half behind us in the L column with a trip to The Meadowlands upcoming as well. Like was said in previous posts though, lets hope for a tough physical game where both teams get beat up put some serious punishment into each other. That being said I hate the Pats so of course I'll rooting for a Buffalo win but I think in the long run a New England victory would be better for us.
Even though I did think that more people would say the Bills, I'm surprised more people haven't brought this up. It's just so hard to see the Pats losing three straight games and two straight division games at home.
im gonna be rooting for a tie, i really dont know how much that benefits the jets but i dont want either team to win.
What horrible reasons to root or not root for anybody. And BTW, the last time they lost three straight was probably when Brady wasn't the QB...duh. So, if NE beats us you will be happy that they beat the Bills too, right? That's what you just said.
There is no excuse for the Jets losing to the Patriots. Brady is OUT, the Jets have a solid team led by many veterans. It should not matter if the Patriots lose to the Colts and Bills before they play us. They aren't the same team. They should suck. I would very much prefer them losing Sunday. They could fall into a panic mode.
That's not at all what I said. You're an imbecile. I said that if the Patriots lose, it will make it tougher to beat them next week because teams tend to raise their game when their backs are against the wall and they're in a must win situation. By losing this week, I believe it would make next week a must win for them, and they'll probably be a tougher team to beat because of that.
The Patriots must win. The bills will have lost 3 in a row all to division opponents hurting their chances in any tiebreakers for the division or wildcards. The Pats winning will make the parity gods happy, and I don't see them losing or winning both home games, so let them win against the Bills and lose to the Jets - it makes us happy. The Pats have a better chance losing to the Jets because they have to play a division opponent with one day of practice to prepare. They will want to win the Bills game and split with us in terms of head to head play. As much as the Pats suck, them winning is in the Jets best interest.
