Excellent write-up. He could also be a press man corner in a strong defensive scheme that was pressing on both sides, matched up on the #2 in the scheme. Ideally whoever takes him does not use him like a hybrid but gives him a single role and lets him fill it. I see him as a strong second round pick and maybe a really good late first. I'd hate to take him high in the first on value.
College ball is almost entirely different than the NFL. Players can get by in college on natural talent alone, and by being bigger/stronger or faster than players on other teams. That won't cut it in the NFL. Players can play multiple positions in college and help their teams, but one doesn't see that very often in the NFL. I can think of a few CBs who played some WR and vice versa, and some of both as well as RBs functioned as returners, but that's about it. The Jets need DBs who can create or get TOs. They need to be more opportunistic. Peppers is not one of those guys. IMO he's not prepared for the NFL. He hasn't played enough at any one position to truly hone his instincts and technique. He's succeeded due to his natural athleticism. I think his best position in the NFL might be WR or P/KOReturner.
