1. Based on past performance: Gholston, bar none - but then, it's not hard to improve on a garbage. Think of it as SATs. Improving 50 points on a 1450 is much harder than improving 300 points on 400. Gholston just scored 400 - that means he turned in his sheet with his name on, and nothing else. 2. From the "WOW!" standpoint: My vote also goes to Rhodes.
Leon & Keller I think will put up better numbers because they will have more touches. On D Pace I think will have 10 or more sacks because he will be rushing the passer more. Rhodes because he wont be 20 to 25 yards off the line & totally out of the play I look to see him at the line blitzing & causing havoc. Gholston because he did nothing & I dont think he could be worse.
He didn't play from scrimmage until the week 17 when Harris got hurt. I also think he was on the pup list for a while. He's got good size and was very good on specials. He played defensive end in college.
I said this in the first thread asking the question. I think Bryan Thomas in a an aggressive, pressure defense will have a career year. He has shown ability in stopping the run and getting a pass rush. Take off the handcuffs of read and react and he may take his play up a level or two.
I mentioned QB , because favre is there , don't expect the red carpet to get rolled out for him by a coach who didn't get him in , and will more than likely have all QBs whoever is there battle it out. Trusnik was actually in and around the ball most of the time , and as the season wore on gained in confidence , or was I imagining that ?
