Outside of Patrick Ewing, I cannot think of an athlete I have wanted to see come back and succeed more than #10.
Ewing made some type of comment like that, I think Ewing might have said we make alot but we spend alot too looking for sympathy during the strike/lockout of '99.
I like the part about all great offenses start with dinking and dunking...on what do base that statement? Regardless of anyones opinion at this point, and we've all stated them, I think weve had enough of the lay off chad threads......garbage topic already and beaten to death. He sucks, but thats who we have. No reason for another chad thread
I've stopped posting a long time ago because of the boards attitude towards this team, but this is the best post I've seen here in months. Jonathan, I have a feeling you are representing a lot of others like me that feel the same way that you do, but just lost the energy to fight all the negativity on this board as of late.
awww what a beautiful moment...40 years of shit has generated this negativity and it is deserved....enough with the "I love my team and I wont boo them".....shaddap with that over sensitive gayness....we're men here and when the team or someone on the team sucks ass, we're allowed to say they suck ass.....'In chad we trust" huh? trust that he'll do what????get hurt???float passes over the middle...please enough witht he chad supporters...the sooner we find his replacement the sooner we can improve
After watching this last pre-season game I have only to hope that somehow Chad avoids those blindside sacks in the regular season. Judging from what I saw from the RB's who have no idea how to block, we might have 2 QB's go down again. I'm not bustin on Chad and I know Chad's heart is in it, but he doesn't have the protection to be productive and more than likely he will sucumb to injury from just that. Under pressure he is throwing high. So high that we will lose our recieving core as well. Last time we saw these throws, his shoulder was injured. This has to change. When your first team offense is struggling against number 2's there's a problem. Yeah, no doubt he is the best QB in the lineup, albeit he's on top of rookies and has beens, but if he doesn't have time he is toast. The Raiders showed his weakness even when he was healthy. Rush the hell out of him and you can win the game. I hate to be a pessimest but the JETS are going to get blitzed every down and it will be a matter of time before everybody's wore out. A lot of 3 and out's and a defense that will get tired of being on the field.
Yeah, right. All of 3 games before he went out for the count. You can blame Herm for ruishing him too quickly and hurting the teams chances, but make no mistake that Chad is a warrior. He did his best for what limitations he had...he deserves at least a shot if he is at 100% this season.
Denni, you nailed it man. Chad is the best of a mediocre crop of QB on our roster presently. Unless his arm was weaker than it was when he was healthy, no way was Ramsey OR Bollinger gonna beat him out. I really don't know what the hell Mangini is doing but this non-comittal attitude towards naming a starting QB 2 WEEKS before the regular season opener is scary indeed. Some folks just love to think of Chad as the second coming of Joe Montana like the media tried to hype 5 short years ago. Now that we know it isn't true, they just don't want to accept that Chad's arm isn't as strong as it should be. Good thing we don't have really fast receivers so Chad's arm look more than adequate. As long as this is the case, We're gonna find ourselves in this situation. I'm not sure Clemens is the answer but we already know Bollinger and Ramsey isn't...
Like I’ve said fifty times: if one of our rivals were wasting their time with Chad after he dicked them year after year…we would laugh our asses off.
