    False.

Kyle Wilson has 17 solo tackles and 4 pass deflections.

Vernon Gholston has 4 solo tackles.

Jerry Hughes has 3 solo tackles.

    Wilson > Gholston > Hughes

Oh come on, E. There's no traditional stat for "occupying linemen" and there's no traditional stat for "burned like toast."

I think you and WW just finally need to come to terms already: Jerry Hughes was the pick. I tried to tell you guys what a superstar he'd be but you just wouldn't listen. He just needs time to develop. He's playing behind Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis, after all...

Where did I bring interceptions into my argument and where am I not giving McCourty respect?

Where am I "backtracking from my initial comments"?

I've always stood by not using interceptions to justify a cornerback's ability.

Exhibit A: Alphonso Smith, 5 picks.

It all comes down to burn percentage. I wish I had access to those statistics right now. You take a guy like Smith: those interceptions are extremely valuable, but he gets burned often, often deep. The end product is a liability on the football field.

But picks are relevant when you're evaluating corners who don't get burned often. Take a closer look at Haden and McCourty. They're #1 and #2 in picks in the AFC, but they're also #1 and #2 in the AFC in passes defensed (those stats can be unreliable sometimes: nfl.com).

I'll bet Haden's BP is reasonably low, and I'm certain McCourty is.

I talked shit to every Pats fan I knew about McC over Wilson, so I've been watching pretty closely. It's my comeuppance. McCourty is a shoe-in for DRotY runner-up. Unfortunate for him that he happens to be a rookie the same year as arguably the best defensive tackle in the NFL.

He stays with the reciever okay but he never seems to turn his head around to see where the ball is and it usually results in a reception.

Its obvious this guy is a complete bust. Cut him in the offseason with Gholston.

The only player worth a damb in that draft ended up being McKnight

i think expectations may have been set too high in some fans because of rex ryan naming him the starting nickel back at the draft.

give the kid some time and please understand rex will sometimes say shit that is just retarded. if he says a guy is the starter teh day we draft him this year realize its just rex being silly and showing confidence in his draft pick.

this draft has definitely not panned out well this year. but time will tell.

whats funny is miami is this sunday, and that's a game kyle struggled in. i hope rex gives kyle the chance to redeem himself against those same receivers.

yep. the expectations from 80% of people here was that kyle would come in, and shutdown WR's down. that simply is crazy.

I liked the Wilson and Ducasse picks in the draft but I'd be lying if I wasnt nervous about their college roots. Boise playing in the WAC and UMass playing against lousy (relatively speaking) student-athletes with football scholarships makes you question their overall talent.

This team has had some incredible draft success recently: Harris, Mangold, Revis, Greene, D'Brick.. Can't complain there. It's these project guys like Gholston and Ducasse that worry me. In a year where the jets only have 4 picks I don't think it's wise to risk it on guys with 'raw talent' and potential.

I was a little puzzled by the draft. I felt they needed a passrusher. I liked Jerry Hughes at the time.

Sanchez could be better than Brady Under the right OC. He's a overall better athlete and can create plays on his own, at a very young age mind you.

So Pats fans will linger all week now?? I hope some Jet fans have been lingering on their sites since the last postseason began.

Sanchez is 2-2 vs Brady, not bad at all.
