thats because we have put the blame everyone but where it belongs, on sanchez. we changed the oline we changed the WR's we changed the offensive co ordinator we changed the runningbacks the results has remained the same over 4 years and with all those changes. sanchez has played horribly. time to point the finger at mark
He hasn't been consistently bad over 4 years. He was improving each year until this year. Granted - it wasn't leaps n bounds improvement - it was incremental. But it was still improvement. Add stability or improvement to other facets of the game that surround Mark and its possible he would have taken bigger steps. We would have beaten the Pats handily with a better running game. We played them well and did nothing on the ground. And the Jets kept it close with Houston and Greene ran for 29 yards. Make that 100 yards and there is a huge difference on the scoreboard. There is even argument that the 2nd Dolphins game dynamic could have easily changed if we had a ground game.
Sanchez is upper half tier QB like top 15 around right now he don't have the tools to crack the top 10 but the potential is there i take him over wilson, vick, cam, RGIII, luck, tannehill, fitzpatrick, palmer, casselback, kolb, weeden, alex smith, bradford, and some others whose names are eluding me atm people go overboard with hate on our franchise qb
If you think that Sanchez is better than Newton, Luck, and RGIII then I don't really know what to say to you. That opinion is just flat wrong.
Newton - yes. Luck and RGIII - no. But the more tape they get on the latter 2, the more potential for them to regress exists. There is no way in hell Sanchez is in the top 15. He's lucky to crack the top 20 at times, but not consistently.
He's like first all time on fucking up in a big situation to cost SB talented teams any chance to actually go to a SB.
YEah, Romo is like an outlier in a thread of this sort. Based on his numbers he's clearly the better Qb. But as a fan I just could not take the heartache from the lack consistency. Sanchez Squared, at least in that respect. Not the direction this franchise needs to go in.
1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Tom Brady 3. Drew Brees 4. Peyton Manning 5. Eli Manning 6. Big Ben 7. Phillip Rivers 8. Matt Ryan 9. Jay Cutler 10. Tony Romo 11. Joe Flacco 12. Matt Schaub 13. Matthew Stafford 14. Michael Vick 15. Josh Freeman 16. Cam Newton 17. Andrew Luck 18. Andy Dalton 19. Robert Griffin III 20. Sam Bradford 21. Ryan Tannehill 22. Kevin Kolb 23. Brandon Weeden 24. Russell Wilson 25. Carson Palmer 26. Ryan Fitzpatrick 27. Alex Smith 28. Jake Locker 29. Christian Ponder 30. Blaine Gabbert 31. Mark Sanchez 32. Matt Cassel
Somebody actually thinks that Sanchez is better than those three guys? MARK Sanchez?? Better at what? Certainly not football.
just because you improve doesnt mean you arent consistently bad. if you go from worst qb in football to 28th worst in football to 27th worst in football back to 30th worst in football that is still consitently awful. he has been among the 5 worst qbs in the league every season. he still makes the same rookie mistakes he did 4 years ago. he still cant complete a screen pass and is horribly inaccurate. he is what he is. an inaccurate turnover machine.
After last night (and our game with them) I am pretty sure the 49ers backup is better than our starter.
luck and rg3 will regress once defense get game tape on them and start gameplanning against their weakness. cam is a pouty baby and not a great leader. he doesn't inspire his teammates and i'm not convinced a running qb can EVER win the quarterback. Take RG3 and Cam if you want to sell tickets, give me sanchez if u like back to BACK AFCG games and potential superbowl victories.
Romo is a lesser version of Sanchez when it comes to critical mistakes. Palmer was on pace for 4800 yards as of last week, haven't looked since this weekend. He's having a pretty prolific year.
I would take any QB over Sanchez if it could get his ridiculous contract off the books. That said, if we're talking talent wise, I'd probably take him over Blaine Gabbart, and maybe John Skelton. If Sanchez can be "fixed" he could be a top 10 QB. The mistakes he makes as far as game management and stupid turnovers are fixable. If he just cut down his stupid turnovers he would be serviceable (like we saw last week). No QB can be turnover free, but they can avoid carrying the ball improperly (ie, like a loaf of bread near his knees) and throwing bad passes when the game situation does not dictate taking chances. That said, I don't think he will get it. He still doesn't get it and it's year four. During the offseason they should lock him in a room and force him to play Madden 24/7 until he understands when to take risks during a game, and when not to.
the difference between tony romo and mark sanchez is that romo plays well enough to make it a close game before he throws it away. sanchez sucks from the start.
You forgot David Carr, Matt Hasselback, The backup for the Patriots, Brian Leftwich and Joe Namath in a wheelchair!
The sad thing is McElroy is probably the best QB on the roster and they will not let him play to avoid public embarrassment for Woody and Rex.
