Whoever we draft they need to sit for a year or two. Whether it's Marcus or someone else.

Winston will be a better NFL QB than your fanboy Mariota anyway. And I will never understand how a grown man could root for a team with such gay ass uniforms like Oregon. Even if I was an alum I would be embarrassed and keep my Oregon sweatshirts in the closet.

Saying Winston will be a bust is ridiculous he is the best qb in college

But are you willing to take on the bullshit that comes with it....not with a top pick

I agree. Winston is a d-bag and a dumb fuck but the more I watch him play the more impressed I get with what I see on the field, ignoring that other stuff. He is surprisingly accurate. He is a big pocket passer. He reminds me of a more controlled Ben Roethlisberger. I think he will have a nice NFL career.

Mariota relies too much on his legs, he's small, and he's not that accurate. Also, how much of his success is attributed to the talent they have around him. Every game Oregon plays they have better players across the board than anyone they play against.

I am leery of any PAC 12 QB because they don't play any defense in that conference but the QB I like better as far as NFL potential is Hundley rather than Mariota.

I mean I personally don't think we should take a qb at all this draft and build the offense before drafting one....but I'd take Winston

Yeah Winston is the real deal. If he doesn't get too cocky (maybe impossible for him not to do) then he will be a Pro Bowl QB in this league. The kid has all the tools to be a big time pro QB especially if he gets under a good QB developer and good system.

His personality is a lot like a young Cam Newton - very immature and used to getting things his way. Newton had a rough going for a little bit but he is maturing. I could see Winston doing the same. On the field though his skill set is very impressive. He has franchise NFL QB abilities and he could play in the windy meadowlands / northeast.

I'm tired of working in young QBs too but if Winston is there when the Jets pick, wherever that may be, it will be tough to pass him up.

Michael Vick and Bret Farve's careers were tragically cut short here? Have you lost your mind?

Winston is not the best QB in college football this season.

LOL What? Half those guys are career backups. (O'Connell, Clemens, Ainge, Radliff, Tuisasosopo). Some of those guys were at the end of their career anyway (Vick, Favre, Brunell). And some of those guys were never going to be good anyway (Tebow).

Hardly any of what happened to these guys was the fault of the Jets.

The Jets turned Eric Ainge into a drug addict.

    True story.
