If the Jets were able to snag Justin Blackmon for a 2014 2nd round pick they better jump on that.....FAST!

We got lemons. We got lemons coming out of our ___. We just don't have any sugar. We haven't had any sugar since 1976. Hopefully this new shipment will include some because I am losing patience.

Really great post Cman, I don't think its darksider in the least. Really great points.

1 - I agree we need to see what we have, lets please forget about POs etc... and concentrate on rebuilding.
The majority of fans at Metlife will unfortunately NOT get it if we do that and the boo boys will be out in force calling for _____ head on a silver platter.

2 - I couldn't care less if Geno suddenly becomes Manning (Peyton ) I still want either : A QB drafted or a decent Vet to come in and add legit competition. Having a QB on the team aka Sanchez with the job handed to them just does not work IMO.

3 - Consistently. Couldn't agree more. This constant changing of CS has to stop. Rex is a great DC and slowly becoming a good HC, some will disagree I'm sure.
Woody has to stop interfering and let the people he's hired do their damn jobs.
I love the new structure thats in place and think we are on the cusp of finally getting this perpetual shit storm sorted out.

4 - I'm no draftnik, but even I can see the talent in next years draft, and boy is it going to be exciting! The last draft I got this excited about was 2006.
I think that Rex's days of getting a 'REX pick' are gone and unless the player we want isn't there we will go BPA every time.
I'm sure a heavy dose of O players is coming in April and MM will be licking his lips.
The D still needs a legit pass rusher, SS and CB (again).
My one concern is that our scouting system remains largely unchanged.

Tanking the season is not in our DNA and still think that with the team playing its heart out we will still be picking in the top 10.

I think these are our draft picks for 2014 draft
    1. Jets 1st

    2. Jets 2nd

    3. Jets 3rd

    4. Bucs 3rd (likely compensation for Revis)

    5. Jets 4th

    6. Jets 5th

    7. Compensatory 5th

    8. Jets 6th

    9. Compensatory 6th

    10. Compensatory 6th

    11. Compensatory 6th

    12. Jets 7th

Barring any trading up, that is a nice amount of picks and with our cap room, the 2014 season could be a very good one.

When life gives you lemons, make Lemonade?

Cman, problem is the owner keeps stepping into the kitchen and messing shit up!

    to Jump on Point#3
When was the last time the JETS spent $$$ for a "Superstar"? (ftr, Favre doesn't count).

Anytime someone is to get paid..trade, cut or no Resign.
Big name FA? our name is NEVER in the mix.

Funny though, we have the highest overall tix pices in the NFL...

hmmm, I still don't understand why JETS fans defend Woody.

We are now building something special on the D-line.
Why do I feel like we will some how fudge that up too?

Lemonade? Problem is everything we do turns into pulp

I'm all for the BPA strategy, I just hope for Geno's sake that BPA is a receiver.

The best part about this fan base is if we win this week, "we are going to the Super Bowl." If we lose this week, "we need to lose the rest of our games for the first round draft pick." 3-3 we should all be happy

Not saying this isn't the case with a lot of people here, but you just described 99.9% of NFL fan bases. When almost every game can be somehow argued as a "must win" this is the kind of feeling you're going to evoke from people.

I agree with that. I can't stand the lose attitude for a draft pick. I'm definitely not trying to watch a football team lose, that strategy is lame.
