That was an unbelievable year. The Jets win SB3, man lands on the moon and the '69 Amazin' Mets.

Most of what I remember is bad QBing from their guys. Vinnie, 2/3 of Favre, some Chad, but a whole lot of bad.

I still say if the Jets lose Sunday, the "fun" is sucked right of this season. 10-6 and no playoffs means nothing and losing a win and in game stays with the players and fans. Losing to Ryan's Bills will make it doubly painful. Before we compare this season to past layoff seasons, how about we see if the Jets make the layoffs? I don't see any other non playoff years being discussed here (except 2008, which is baffling to me because I hated that season- the pitiful performances late in that season and being used by Favre as a way station are all I take away from that year). Near misses are painful, not fun. Lose Sunday and this is 2000 all over again. That season was fun for a while - the Monday Night Miracle, the Green Lantern game, but it was all meaningless after a difficult loss to the ravens on Christmas Eve in a win and in game. Yes, this team is fun has some great qualities and personalities, but after a 47 year drought, I want a shot in n the tournament, especially with the weak AFC field this year. 10-6 and missing out will be brutal, not fun.

Couldn't agree more, Joe Willie. I've had great fun this year, seen my Jets win in London, met some great Jets fans, but Sunday will be such a let down if we lose.

Of course, the easy solution is to win. :)

I'd have to say my best and most exciting Jets memories are the 98 season.
This one does have the potential to be the most special ever, though.

Let's finish this thing out by embarrassing Rex and springboard ourselves into the playoffs as arguably one of the hottest and most exciting teams to watch in the race to SB50!

Bump. Everybody still have the "fun" of last season branded on their brains? Not making the playoffs followed by this crap show means nobody will remember 2015 as anything but a mirage.

That would basically just be Leonard Williams and Bilal Powell highlights.

Bold prediction for 2017, Charone Peake goes over 1,000 yards.

I'm high on Peake, I believe he will be a real threat in this league , maybe not for Jets lol

2015 was great. 2016 has been one of the very worst years in Jets history, and don't forget, that includes the loss to Buffalo on January 3, 2016. Fifteen games in 2016, 4-11 record. One more game in 2016, 4-12 record for the year (anyone not think that the Pats will clinch home field through the playoffs against the Jets next week?).

    While we're at, let's rehash 1986

nah, but watch the Jets be stupid and somehow win the next two with Fitz(can't stand, him won't give him a cute whatever ending to his name) and go from top 5 to 12th.

oh yea, they'll also draft some tweener player that should go in the late 2nd instead of a tackle.

i remember this thread, i am pretty sure there is a post by me saying that this is the MOST enjoyable jet team i could remember since before old sperm edwards. i was right, they were fun last year, they played hard, they battled in games and were an enjoyable group of kids you wanted to root for.

the shine is off that turd at this point though. who wouldve thought with all those first round draft picks the best and lynch pin of that dline was actually snacks harrison. i missed that one too.

Why would anyone bump this thread? I thought it was some goof post in the middle of last night's game that came before the roof fell in.

2015 WAS fun until they blew it in Week 16 and it became just another crap Jets ending. But that stretch of games where they beat the Pats in OT, beat the Giants in OT, beat Dallas late, crushed the Fish...that was one of the most enjoyable stretches I've seen as a Jets fan. That's what made the Rex clowning so annoying and completely took away the enjoyment.

Last year was fun until we were knocked out of the playoffs. We had struck gold and had not yet learned that it was only fool's gold.
