Bollinger has always been a winner, he did after all win the rose bowl with the badgers back in the day...i always knew he was a good qb and last year showed what he could do, like some of you are saying, a better line and a running game, we woulda been decent with brooks in there.... maybe im just biased, but i know george jetson is smiling somewhere in bollywood
If Bollinger proves that he is better than Penny and Ramsey i think he could be the Jets Starting QB. But that is only if he is better then both of them. Or if they both get injured.
njjet You took the words out of my mouth. I don't understand how any Jets fan that was paying attention last year can say "f brooks" The kid played his heart out in a terrible situation
true, except bolly can run and throw, ramsey can throw, and clemmins is the future qb. brad smith is the wr/emergency qb. the only deadweight is the same skill-less set and cap anchor- ol noodle arm! :rofl2:
The fact is we do not have a QB!! Just another reason we never should have let Jay Cutler get away..........
Well Brooks showed last season that he is a decent Quarterback that can make some things happen. He is not great and clearly is not starting calibre but he can make plays with his feet and is pretty accurate inside 30 yards. I truly think he can be a solid backup somewhere. No, I don;t think he is better than Ramsey but if he outperforms Pat in training camp how do you cut him?
I don't think he implied a damn thing about Pat starting....the post referred to Pat making the team, not starting.....
well the problem with Patrick Ramsey is he's patrick ramsey. great physical tools but will he ever utilize them? im not counting him out just yet, he might just be struggling initially with the new system. lets at least see him choke in a real game before we call it a day
Patrick's problem, on total speculation, is that he tries to hard to be erfect every time out and is unable to learn from his mistakes, seeing only that he made a mistake. Someone needs to just tell him he doesn't need to be perfect, he just needs to fix things that he did wrong.
They used to use Guernseys for that but people kept detaching from the teats and falling by the way side.
Ramsey needs to go and workout with the recievers and linebackers coaches to work with his footwork... Showng him 2 diffrent types of footwork excercises would help him be a quick stepper.
Once again, you want to trash him, I'm okay with that. But "ol noodle arm" is the corniest nickname I've ever heard.
34 days and counting until Training Camp opens. It can't get here soon enough. We all need to move on.
I think most people on the board are supportive of the Clemmens pick. But anyone who comes down 100% on one side or the other without seeing either V.Young or K. Clemens play doesn't know what they're talking about.
