2nd Pats game. And since we're starting a trek down this team's shitty memory lane: 1998 AFC championship: worst blown game in Jets history.
In addition to all the games previously mentioned I think the first tilt against the Patriots was a game the Jets should have won. Michael Carter II's 84-yard pick-six would have put the Jets up by 17-3 but, JFM's boneheaded RFP call negated the score and gave the Patriots new life which they took advantage of with a field goal cutting the Jets then lead to 10-6. Zach had a terrible day with 3 back breaking interceptions.
I don’t think it was one game; I think the AVT and Hall injuries derailed the season and Zach’s career. Hall would have bought Zach some time to work on his stuff this summer without all the drama.
It would have to be the 2nd Pats game for sure. I really thought before the game that my Pats would lose. At one point I thought Wilson was playing for the Pats!
What's the one game that Saleh really Blew? Lions and then the Seahawks(White was hurt and should never have started).
Braxton Berrios should have been immediately cut at the conclusion of the Vikings game. The fact that he suited up for a single game for the remainder of the year speaks volumes about the lack of discipline on this team.
Vikings Game and Missed a chance in Lions. I am not going to count the pats games because we are just assuming if zach got benched they would have won.
I still think Pats game 1 and I don’t even think it is close. That play ruined everything. Jets would have went to to half 17-3. Instead, they went into half 10-6, O got ball back game was 13-10. Defense could not keep Pats from long drives that game but they’d them to FGs after the TD. Zach and MLF panic, mistakes and game over. Worst part, they thought they could walk into NE and get W without changing anything and BB smoked them and MLF has not adjusted since. The only time the offense has had any yards is against the bottom 5 defenses in the league. Minny, Bears, and Detroit. Season over.
Without a shadow of a doubt, the one game we really blew that cost us this season was against the LA Rams (Dec 20, 2020),
Second Buffalo game with Mosley trying to change into Superman without a phone booth anywhere in site. This was the Jets cue to play possum for the rest of the season, being outscored 93-44 in six games since that play.
PATS GAMES, VIKING GAME PATS GAMES..all we needed was one play from the offense.. nope VIKINGS GAME...we got 2 chances at the end, blew both.
I know they’re not loser franchises anymore but you can’t lose to the Lions and Jags in successive weeks at home. The Jags on a short week was pretty embarrassing as was losing on a 50 yard touchdown to a practice squad tightend to the Lions. The other games are frustrating including the second Pats game. But you can lose to the Bills and Vikings on the road.
