Learned how to cook back in my single days which coincidentally were my broke days as well. It was far more efficient to cook dinner for a woman than take her out to dinner and like you said, women are really impressed by a man with kitchen skills. ;)

Not to mention, much easier to slip the quaaludes into her zinfandel when dinner is at your pad, right Bill?

    byz

You are one of the staples of this board. What stupid bet is this? You can't go. Instead of you, let Stokes and Dierking(asshat) go and we will call it a trade.

OK, well I had a friend in town from CA to spend the holidays with his family...... I was invited over for The Eve....
They live on the water (and used to own a brew pub which they've sold),

started with 5 bushels of oysters (cooked over open wood flame) harvested that day (by his dad)
then on the grill seared ahi tuna, swordfish, wahoo, and hogfish :)
some homemade fancy salads for the hippies

Washed down with several varieties of their craft brews

Then made my way to another friends house..... which was a one-way ticket to the drunk tank o_O :D
