One thing that is really, as Buckwheat once said, "is beginnin to become a newsome" is there was another fake punt that we didn't stop. It's hard to believe it's still happening.

So Westoff has nothing to do with the blocking schemes that get Leon into the EZ?

Agreed. Westhoff should be fired this off-season and caned to death. Getting pinned at the 2 yard line? inexcusable.

LOL. i love how people are actually agreeing with what you said and don't realize that you are being sarcastic. Come on guys, Westoff is one of the best S.T. coaches in the game today. No matter who our returner is (Chad Morton, Leon Washington, or Justin Miller) they can always take it to the house. i suppose that when Leon Washington stepped out of bounds on that K.O. to give us the ball on the 40, God/Jesus spoke to him and told him to do that. Westoff is an amazing coach, and you don't know football if you think otherwise.

No I don't have a link. I heard it clearly stated both on the NFL network and on ESPN. I also believe I heard Mike Shanahan refer to it in one of his press conferences prior to the Jets-Broncos game (One of the nerdy things I do as a die-hard Jet fan is watch all of Mangini's press conferences and all of the press conferences of every opposing coach before the Jets play their team. In fact, I don't think I've missed a single Mangini Press conference since he's been the coach) Finally, Mangini has referred to our special teams coverage units many times throughout his press conferences, although I'm not sure if I ever remember him mentioning the rankings of the Kickoff coverage, other than to say that they are "near the top of the league". I know I heard him mention that we were right at the top of the league in punt coverage as recently as a few weeks ago.
