Prime rib for Christmas Eve dinner. Going to smoke them on the Kamado Joe. We also do Italian but not the fish thing. There will be shrimp cocktail, antipasto, lasagna, and other assorted appetizers and sides.

What I had for dinner, I had a healthy salad with grilled chicken, then for dessert I ate an entire Entemann's Crumb Cake, for an after dessert snack I had some pot roast with mayo on a ciabatta roll. Had a couple of Lagunitas Hazy Wonder and a Hazy Little Thing in honor of National Beer Day.
Stokes First I got an aged, fleshy side of meat that my best friend, who is the resident chef for the NY Mets team, got from his secret butcher in the Hamptons. We smoked it, low heat for 12 hours. Then we moved it quickly to high heat earthenware (suggested to my wife from Martha Stewart's sister-in-law) and made it into a terrine. The gummy texture was off putting at first but the flavor was great when served with a bottle of Lafite Rothschild
