With a new FO/CS in place that will make it a priority to build around a franchise QB, I would be fully on board with Geno(or whichever Qb they believed to be best)being the pick. With the status quo it wouldn't matter which QB we selected if he can't be developed properly.
geno smith has never been a good qb, people got way too high on him early in the year. i really do not see him developing into even a decent qb at the next level. i would want absolutely no part of him.
The only reason that I wouldn't want Smith is that I doubt the Jets have the discipline not to start him immediately. And coming out of West Virginia's offense, he is just not ready to read NFL defenses IMO.
Yes, get him and draft gio Bernard or monte ball second round. Give him some weapons and a new qb coach and I think he could be a great QB in the Nfl
