Yes it is. I met him and Bobby when they were on the View a couple of years ago, I have pictures with each of them. Very cool day, got to see the "Dead" play for free at Roseland that night after seeing them with Warren play on the View.
Actually the first name was the New York Freighters. That changed to the NJ Americans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If we got 09 Favre instead of the injured 08 Favre with our 09 Run game and 09 Defense and we are in that Super Bowl and it very well could have been a win. I honest to god believe that. Sanchez got us 17 points, Favre with that team and the way he played in 09 would have been enough to keep Peyton buried under the point defect we put him in.
but it never happened, never will and we will wait for God knows how long. Probably not in most of our lifetimes. I suppose I should be happy with the "1969" Championship in my lifetime even though I was only 4 years old. It may be the only time I will ever know, as it will be for all of us. I just don`t see the Jets being a powerhouse team anywhere in the near future. I know the NFL isn`t anything it once was with dynasty teams and all. The talent pool is so watered down too and with kids growing up and not playing the game because of the head issues and other injuries, I just don`t see the NFL getting better. It might be at it`s peak right now for all we all know. Great game for television and great game for watching live(before they outpriced the average American), I see it becoming like hockey and basketball. Not as much a big deal as it use to be. What does that mean for the Jets? Probably nothing as far as winning another SB goes.
I would never leave the jets----im 74 and have seen the best sb3 and the worst--too many to remember----and many enjoyable seasons in between of coarse never winning the sb----great day was when they won the division last day of 2002---having the radio glued to my ears as pats came from behind to beat the dolphs and then having chad and the boys demolish the great bret farve-----and then first round playoffs destroyed the great peyton--------great season in 1998 vinnys fantastic year---never heard of a first round bye-and lost afccg ---I remember Denver scored a td to bring score to 10-7 ----they kicked off but a strong wind brought the ball to midfield and Denver recovered giving them as easy td and jets lost-------next year parcells called it the best team he ever had ---then vinny breaks his ankle and season is over two afccg in 2009 and 2010 and so close to sb in the 15 years since we got parcells jets have been relevant---we shall rise again poor Detroit Cleveland Texans jags sd buff cinn Tennessee phila and afew others who have never won the sb
If they haven't done it already, there is no way they could. They've done just about everything you could ask a franchise NOT to do to be fan friendly.
