If we manage to get a 3rd round pick somehow (maybe someone bites on Clemens tender) then Id have no issue picking up our slot receiver there.

Problem is we have a 1st and 2nd then we dont have crap until #32 in the 5th round. Not gonna be any noteworthy guys on the table then. The Freddie Barnes and mid round studs will all be gone.

Which would leave us with drafting a wr in the 1st and 2nd (or going another season with only 2 wrs). And if we were to draft a wr in those first 2 rounds Marshall absolutely eclipses anyone we could get in talent by a LONG shot.

If we go into the season with only 2 wrs though you can expect the same crap everytime its 3rd and long. Makes it so much easier for a defense to stop you when they only have to focus on 2 wrs and a tight end.

But if we get a 3rd/early 4th rounder, id be completely satisfied with a wr then.

Maybe if Cheryl Bernard was our number 2 CB.

With Marshall it makes that "kid" a lot better.

So then do you want Marshall or Edwards to get the bench in two WR sets? Schottenheimer is not a spread OC. Moving to constant 3WR sets would be a huge departure from everything else Schottenheimer has done up to this point.

You're missing the point here. We have Braylon at Cotch. Keller at TE. our hole is at the slot, we need a slot reciever.

So first you bash me because you think I'm one of those douches from "The Fake Jersey Shore" and then you question my intelligence by asking me if I watched the team at all this season?? Yea, I missed this whole season but yet I'm here posting on a Jets board at 12:30am...but to answer your question - didn't miss a snap, nor miss a home game in 10yrs.

You're the douche who's intelligence needs questioning.

And you want to draft a WR huh?? When do you want to draft this WR? The only higher draft picks we have are a 1st and a 2nd. If you're gonna draft one then you draft a young stud in his prime....Brandon Marshall.

Hey now, lets not get personal there shoe-by. I resemble that comment!

BTW - what to you call a BENny that owns property down the shore? Illegal Alien? Invader? Does it change pending on how long the property is owned like say since 1986?

For those not aware, a shoe-by (pronounced Shew bee) is what the people from the real south Jersey like Cape May, call the people from Jersey in the Philly area.

Is there any way we can give up our 2nd round pick for him?

This is not madden, you can not just stock pile talent. It doesnt work like that. We're not about to dish out maybe the biggest WR contract ever along with a first rounder when Braylon, our own, is a free agent himself next season.

I'm going to leave it at this, there's no place for Marshall on this team, thats what it comes down to.

    What? Serious?

No, he was released, so I'd like to guess we could sign him for a few mil. Maybe we get lucky and Lito gets signed for a 2+ mil.

no, you don't t get Marshal because WR isn't one of the Jets most pressing needs and the value of that number 1 pick is better used on other positions.

    fuck.

Pass rusher + what are our most pressing needs?

Id probably say pass rusher #1 Slot reciever #2 Then someone oline/dline depth . Only problem is if we dont somehow get another draft pick, we are forced to get a wr in the first 2 rounds.
