I agree. We need some linebackers and a safety and we should be set. Also with the jump in his play that Wilson has made this year I'm really excited to see where he's at next year. We all know the jump revis made in year 3. Not saying he's revis but let's remember he's covering slot receivers for the most part this year. Put him on the outside and let him use the sideline and he can only get better. Personally I have had enough of cromartie. I'm not just saying that because of the muffed punt or how he got abused yesterday. Thats just typical inconsistent cromartie and i expect hell have a good game next week. The inconsistency drives me nuts but even more than that it's his tackling that kills me. He's too soft for this team and if we could get anything for this guy in the offseason ( may be unlikely with his contract) I would ship him out. I know Rex loves his corners and you can never have enough but I think it's at a point where he is more of a liability to this team.

Holding the muffed punt against your starting Cb is unfair, imo. At least it is in assessing his talent llevel for his primary job.

And ftr Wilson had a crap game except for that one play early on against Buffalo. I also don't hold Brad Smith's TD against Cro since that was a brilliant play on Smith's part. On the whole, Cro was the most consistent Cb against Buffalo. I know taht does not fit your apparent prejudice against him, but that's the way it was.

It think its more about it being Brad Smith, never thought of as a WR.

Is it not the ability to control your body while making a play on the ball that separates the good from the great ? He costs us possession of the ball and then made a good play at the ball but was unable to control his body to make the play that was needed.... at least in that instance. Plus his usual mistake in a key situation , missed tackle, penalty etc...
