I don’t even know that we’re going to be eligible for comp picks. We lost Anderson, Copeland and Shell while signing Perriman, Fant, McGovern and Van Roten. I think this definitely makes sense for a team like the Titans who didn’t really lose anyone (Logan Ryan won’t count) but want to sign someone like Clowney.
Antonio Brown!! he'll provide plenty of fuel for the newspapers and build a (combustible) chemistry in the locker room throw in some hot air balloon antics and we're talking subtraction by addition
1 Clowney Or 2 Markus Golden There's 2 good pass rushers still out there and we've needed one for almost ever Not sure if we got enough coin for Clowney but maybe it's doable
Markus Golden If he isn't retired and would want to sit on the bench, Matt Moore. ZERO reason to sign Flacco, because he wants to start, and is kind of a dick and won't help Sam.. You don't need that distraction. Bortles would be interesting. DT would be ok to take back and bring into camp and see what happens. Logan Ryan would be interesting, as well. WE ARE NOT GETTING CLOWNEY. Stop, already to the numbskulls pissed we aren't making an attempt.
Wouldnt mind an older wr, whos spent plenty of time in this league to help teach/support a pro game/ system to several of our younger WRs. Dont mind an older edge or end but thats about it. Let these youngsters play ball Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
People think that because fluff articles like this one that came out today. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2020/04/jadeveon-clowney-interested-in-jets
Think we can get him to sign for $500k and a pb&j sandwich. That's about what how many sacks he got last year is worth
He's interested in green... MONEY. We aren't and were never getting him. If this was 08-10 i'd say, yes, give him the money, but we are so so so far away, it doesn't make fiscal sense.
I’m not sure I really want anyone else to be signed. They’ll inevitably just take away snaps from younger guys. I want to see as many players who will be the young core of the teams playing and fighting together, so that they have chemistry and experience for 2021.
Kicker. It will just take snaps from the garbage kickers already here. We need to improve there. Make them compete. Kicker is the weakest spot on the team atm.
I could get down with a kicker. Wouldn’t be surprised if these are the two that battle it in camp though.
I agree, but I would trade Avery Williamson plus a mid- or low round pick to Carolina for Samuels. Samuels could be a good player for us for at least 5 more seasons, and he would give Sam another weapon. With a better OL, Gase could conceivable go back to 4 WR formations. Mims, Crowder, Samuels and Perriman would be a lot better than Mims, Crowder, Perriman, and Doctson or Braxton Berrios or Vyncint Smith. If the Jets want to win as many games this season as they can, then they probably should sign Stephen Gostkowski or Nick Folk. Do you have any confidence in Maher and/or Ficken?I don't. If nothing else, they should sign one of Elliott Fry and Jonathan Brown, and have a 3-way kicking competition.
Seeing as we now include Perriman in the rehabilitated ex first rounder mix, does nobody see the possibility of Doctson doing the same, I didn't even think he had been awful in an awful team btw, also he had shown promise that he did possess talent. I think we may have snapped up a nice surprise talent, hopefully, he will take this chance and shine fully.
I like the though of Samuels to fortify the WR corps. The bold to me is critical. We need a kicker we can count on. I don't understand the complete lack of appreciation the leadership had for a top kicker. He is instrumental in the win and loss of games on the line more so than many other positions. I still have nightmares from game one last year, where we lost a close game we should have won due to a missed cheap shot field goal and missed extra point.
