For all your snark, people can't just drop a competitive sport for two years and sail back in as if they have never been away, I can only look at sport through my own experience and that is soccer, players miss 6-8 weeks with an injury they are brought back into the first team slowly as they are not game conditioned, all the running and training only gives you so much, the final 10-15% you only acquire through playing competitive games, we call it match sharpness, 2 years is a long time out of playing competitive sport, injuries are an even bigger risk the moment you attempt to come back from such inactivity.

It seems this is the bit you are not wanting to acknowledge due to an overt need to be sarcastic and belittling, not once have I called him a bad player, he is a great player on a bad contract, but is he a ONCE great player with a bad contract that we will be lumbered with for two more years if he doesn't return to 26yo pro-bowl levels.

That is the risk that is being discussed here and that is all.

I’m just saying, I’m pretty sure he’s thought of that. You have. I have. I’m sure he has too.

I doubt he’s downing Doritos saying “damn, that year went by quick”

Well, that's it then, the risk is keeping him on a big contract and hoping he returns to his previous form or trading him out before he proves he can't return to previous levels, a double-edged sword really.

and that won't be due to eating cardboard for a year or let's face it over 2 years come September or knock the two quarters off and you can make it nearer 3 years if you want lol

Like I said, a quality player but a huge risk of him not seeing out this season but that is just my own opinion.

CJ Mosely has never been selected to be an All-Pro. So either you really are on a ton of drugs or you truly are the one on disability.

I think the opposite with CJ. This guy is a fantastic football player and will be the lynch pin to our D. Saleh will light that fire under him and he will be the guy we lean on in our LB group. I think we can’t afford to loose him at this point.

30 isn’t that old when talking about a MLB and that would be for one year. I think JD was with Baltimore when they drafted him so they must know each other. I think we can’t trade him or cut him so we just need to get the motor running full steam ahead.

Isn’t he a prototypical 3-4 ‘backer? Thumper and not a runner? Are we sure he’ll transition well to this D? And that’s before you add in the 2 years off

He was selected All-Pro the last 3 years he was active. I’m sorry if 2nd team All Pro isn’t boujie enough for you but it’s still All Pro.

How can I be on so many drugs and still more capable than you? Are you even trying at this point?

Yawn. Apples to oranges. First and second team all pros aren't the same, which is why the second team isn't even recognized for Hall of Fame criteria.

You believe that Wagner and Mosely are similar calibre of players?

    1. You say something factually incorrect
    2. I call you out
    3. You try and justify you objectionably inaccurate statement
    4. Rinse and repeat

    Similar?
30yo arguably the best LB in the league
28yo arguably top 5 LB in the league

Noooooo..... they have NOTHING in common.

Mosely is arguably a top 5 linebacker in the league at this very juncture? Lol. This conversation is done champ.

Am I sure? I can’t evaluate professional NFL players.

I’m 100% sure Mosley is a stud LB.
I’m 100% sure he’s available for the right price
I’m 100% sure I trust the CS to get the most out of its players.

And round and round we go, right back to the beginning.

Will Mosley be be the stud he’s always been or did he forget how to play football after vedging on the couch eating Doritos for a year.

That was the discussion before you said he was never all pro and some other idiot said he’s on the wrong side of 30.

You have understandable concerns, why do you resort to making up your own facts?

Generally when fans with reasonable football IQ talk about being an All Pro, they do not reference being second team AP since it's a secondary consolation prize for a reason.

But to your point, he was a second team All Pro. Good job. He is nowhere near comparable to Wagner. You and I both know that and there's a reason one is a first ballot Hall of Famer and legendary player and one is not.

Thank you for acknowledging your statement was unnecessarily misleading.

You could’ve easily said “Mosley a never been 1st team all pro “

    But
    A. I never claimed he was and
    B. It would have sounded super douchey.

At 30, I believe Wagner is destined for the HOF.

I will re-evaluate Mosley after he turns 30.

    See you in 2023!!
