Keep him. Invest heavily in the o-line this off-season. Also get a WR or 2. Basically get the pressure off him. Do that and he will be fine

    Convert Bell to WR.
    He can catch ball.
He's gonna be 31 years old when his contract expires and most RBs don't last that long.
But most WRs can be productive until their mid 30s.

LeVeon isn't a burner running back, he's a patient runner that stutters, waits for holes to open up, and gets through them. The problem is our o-line is absolute dog shit and seems to favor runners that are just running full speed ahead.

IMO, it wouldn't shock me if L. Bell isn't with this team next year, but I'm hoping he is because I do think Joe Douglas is going to build a ball in front of Darnold and I think Leveon could reap the benefits of that.

you're right of course...I was referring to the idea of putting Bell out wide while another RB plays QB protector.

LB is pissed off at the league for multiple drug tests.

    I don't blame him.

It's an old joke about Powell being on PEDs.

Strange as I am sure I have seen him battling to get the hard yards to turn some of those shitty plays into first downs while defenders are all over him.

Must have been somebody else

Maybe we should bring in a running game coordinator?
Someone who understands how to get the most production out of Bell.
I've seen a few teams using these.

Must be. It's a limited sample size obviously but Bell is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Powell + Montgomery have rushed 36 times for 147 yards (4.0 yards per carry).

There's more yards there to be had. They're not easy and the offensive line sucks. But Bell's sucked too. It's ok to acknowledge that.

The Bengals are 0-10 primarily because of their shitty offensive line that was missing both of their starting tackles and center for the majority of the season. Mixon is still averaging 3.6 YPC and I'd say their line is way worse.

You can argue running style and yada yada. It's just like the Leonard Williams hidden production argument to protect a player the franchise invested a lot of money and/or assets in.

I normally wouldn't go for this, but Bell can do it. We saw at least one creative play were he lined up as a receiver. In the meantime I'd like to see more two RB sets - like the old days, and have Bell catching even more passes out the backfield. Two RB sets will one day come back into the fold. Let's lead the way. Bell's a good blocker, so, even better.

He's young enough to keep for another year and hope JD sorts the o-line this offseason. He's a good RB but needs a good o-line, like pretty much all RBs.

Oh it is and I agree but wholesale exageration spoils it.

I don't really believe it's exaggeration at all though. It hasn't happened a ton, but he's had some plays where he gets the ball in space and he looks like he's wading through mud. I don't know if he's applying patience but it really just looks like he's slow.

These two things I have the problem with

The first is the exaggeration as that is blatantly not true.

Also, the two years off part is a bit of a stretch as well tbh

Look I am not saying he hasn't been a little disappointing, his averages are also going to have suffered in the no Darnold spell, with a low of 1.9, he matched that v the Giants but he also looked banged up, maybe that is an excuse, I don't know.
