McNabb played well and threw the ball well all day. He clearly was getting his ball through the wind while Eli was having issues and Eli has a good arm. The uncontested punt traveled 60 yards and a very good Eagles special teams covered it. The safety turned out to not hurt the Eagles because they turned the field position around. It wasn't intentional but the other side of it is it wasn't a bone head play by McNab. McNab either takes a sack in the end zone for a safety or dumps the ball where no one can INT it. They called grounding. You make it sound like it was a bone head play by McNab, it wasn't. He was under pressure and couldn't get it out.
Well I didn't say it was boneheaded. I just said it was not to his credit. I guess it's a difference if emphasis, that and that the Eagles O had great difficulty moving the ball for most of the game. Their D and lousy execution were the reasons the Eagles won, imo, not McNabb.
You got that right!! We need more than a Qb. That is just the main part that is holding us back. Problem is we will probably have to take a few steps back the next few years to find one.
What the playoffs have showed to me is that a team has to have a strong, agggressive defense as well as quarterback play. The Jets showed neither down the stretch.
