The max I would give is washingtons 2nd rounder and maybe another late 2nd day pick

    1st and a 3rd for a guy who doesn't even start? What a joke.

What do you think that says about how not only the Chargers see him, but the league that keeps talking and asking about him see him?

    Why is that being ignored?

Oh, duh, he's a backup. Those guys have no talent and rarely do anything.

Just because they offered him the high-tender doesn't mean that we would have to give up a 1st+3rd to get him in a trade. The only difference then is that we would really need to have a deal in place with Turner before trading for him. It would be insane to work out any kind of trade for him and have him only be here for 1 season. The big question - besides what we have to give up in a trade is what we have to give Turner for a contract. All in all - getting Turner will be far to expensive in my eyes - both contract-wise and trade-wise.

And AGAIN, who ACTUALLY BELIEVES the Chargers are going to ask for that much? This is a guy who wants to be a feature back (but isn't bitching), on a team that believes he can be but needs to get some value because he can leave as a UFA next offseason. Its their way of saying "you can have him, but for the right price."

    1st and 3rd for Turner

I just heard Trey Wingo say on ESPN that the Chargers have placed a 1st and 3rd round tender on Turner

Its way too high of a price for a backup.

    No fing way!

Let Tannenbaum do his job and find a running back later on in the draft!

They Jets should be going after A Thomas with everything they have. It's only money, no draft picks and he's the difference maker they lack in the front 7.

Yes its only money but the bigger the contract, the worse it is on our cap. I doubt he is a Jet.

Michael Bush with the second pick in the second round or a stop gap cheap Free agent. Rb should addressed after De,Dt,OL and Cb!

hell no... let the chargers keep his ass, no one is going to give up a 1st and 3rd for a back up. who knows how he is going to shape up as a starter.

get bush with our 2nd rounder, i never liked turner all that much anyways...

This is just the Chargers protecting themselves. Read the original thread that came out hours ago...
