I have concerns about durability and dedication to football.

None about interpersonal issues with other players. Just watch the opening game this year. Rosen and teammates are talking on the sidelines and huddling all through the first three quarters and it is clear that he's telling them not to giveup, we have a chance, keep working, etc. Then late 3rd quarter onwards after every score you see people on that sideline who know they are coming back.

    That's leadership.

Yes. Simply because he has an NFL frame. Rosen is by far the most polished QB but he has knee, shoulder and concussion issues. That’s a problem a big problem

Josh Allen is going to wind up as a top 4 pick and he is going to hold his team's fortunes in unsteady hands until he proves out.

I expect the Browns to take Saquon Barkley #1 and then whichever QB falls to them on the #4. I think there are enough questions about the QB's in this draft that they are going to pick the clearest possible star on offense, which is Barkley, and then make an imperfect pick at #4 that would also be imperfect at #1.

With Barkley off the table I expect the Giants to take the #1 QB on their board at the #2 spot. Indy will take the best defensive player on the board at #3. The Browns will land their QB at #4. The Broncos will take a DB/pass rusher at #5 if they sign Cousins and a QB there if they don't.

If Barkley is gone, I have the Giants going with Nelson at #2 or trading out for more ammunition. It would be nice if the Jets could trade with the Giants and control their destiny. Sadly, I don't see that ever happening :/

Idk why people love to see QBs throw distances on their knees. It’s really not that hard imo.

I can easily hit 40 yards and probably even close to 50-55

This is a fairly likely scenario. Darnold has the problem that everybody hyped him as the future #1 last year and then he had trouble living up to that very high expectation this year. He's still a top 10 QB but people will be picking apart his weaknesses and having him come up short at the Combine was another slightly negative drop in that bucket.

Darnold measured at 6'3" and was one of the worst performers in the high jump and the broad jump. He chose not to throw. All of that suggests his physical ability was over-hyped coming into last year and it better explains the overall results.

I expect the buzz on him moving forward to be basically flat. Not a Teddy Bridgewater drop but no surprise if he winds up picked a bit later than we expect.

Would you take him at 6 if he's available and Rosen and Mayfield are taken by then? I would, but wouldn't hand him the starting job on day 1 like I would with Rosen.

I'd take him at #6 and bring in a real vet like Case Keenum or Sam Bradford to compete with him. I'd make him fight his way on to the field. The plan would be he's starting game one of year two for sure and if he beats out the vet year one so much the better.

I'd hire Josh McCown as the currently empty QB Coach for the Jets.

Allen showed why he’s the best today. Wow!

I read both articles - although the first one referenced a Mel Kiper article I couldn't read it because you need to be a subscriber. In any case both articles are simply rumors and innuendo and "conclusions" drawn from thin air. Do I think Rosen is squeaky clean? Hell no! But he's no worse than most college athletes, and better than most. He is outspoken and opinionated - have you talked to a teenager/young adult lately? Do you recall your own mindset at that age? People that age know EVERYTHING so I don't see that as a problem other than he actually speaks his mind instead of being P.C., and a lot of NFL teams might be turned off by that. Frankly I think it's a good trait, and one that the Jets could use. And for someone who isn't dedicated to football, it seems strange he would take the pounding he's taken and to not quit.

The ONLY concern that I think is legitimate is his concussions, but I'll bet if every college player were evaluated they would find they've suffered one or more concussions. He's not a Big Ben, but he's proven he can take a hit and not be gun shy - he hangs in the pocket trying to make a play even knowing he's going to get hit. That's something he's going to need to work on, but EVERY college QB coming to pros needs to work on that.

These stories just show laziness in not finding actual facts to support them. Teams that listen to them without vetting them are doing themselves and Rosen a disservice, but I hope they keep talking about them so that everyone ahead of Jets is scared off.

    Rosen
    Mayfield
    Allen
    Darnold

    After today.

Not sure I want Darnold playing for Jets. Dude seems soft.

Love the first two, not huge fans of the last two. I really want one of four guys (Rosen, mayfield, Barkley, Nelson)

Which means we will get Fitzpatrick

He beats up New Mexico ...big whoop

Then he plays a good team..Iowa and the kids exposed..I mean the Iowa band played better

That's his m M.O. No solid competition...athletic but he is a project that LOOKS like an NFL QB ...I would pass ..but I am sure the Jets and Mac want him typical SOJs oh well..I can live with this selection if he actually improves

Anyone would have sloppy feet with a 250 pound DL coming at you every play because your OL is a joke....

At the combine he proved his accuracy vs the field. People who compared him to Hack are eating their words... Hack was turfing ball and was incredibly inaccurate and Allen was hitting guys in the chest on almost every throw. Falk who is touted as very accurate had nothing on Allen’s accuracy today.

Just because Darnold didn't throw today or didn't do well on the broad jump or high jump doesn't mean he is soft, overated, or his physically limited. I expect him to be lights out on his pro-day. The film don't lie he can ball he should be a top 5.

    That's what I said.

Throwing in shorts and a tank tops proves nothing. I can't fathom that you actually believe that it does, I'll give you the benefit of being a troll. PS- Here is Hack lighting it up in shorts and a t-shirt.

    PPS- Vernon Gholston says hello.

It would be pretty funny if Darnold tanked the combine on purpose to try to avoid the Browns! I don't generally trust USC QBs in the brisk Jersey air, but I would have no problem picking him at 6. Mayfield is slowly creeping into my preferred choice, however.

I wouldn't mind drafting Darnold or Mayfield at #6.
