Dude, that song is great. Did you see the "Live" version they did on the Grammy's 2 years ago? Full string section Just awesome.
I'm about to load the bong, make it bubble a bit, get a brewski, and put the "Best of the Pretenders" on.... and go sit in the backyard at sunset, blasting away on my ghetto blaster. I like to plan this stuff.... after the Pretenders, it's "Best of the Band". Then, maybe a little Nilsen.... "Son of Schmelsen" sounds good. For you youngsters, the only tune you might know from that CD is "Put the Lime in the Coconut". Maybe "Jump into the Fire" is one you might recognize too.
I dont have Dance of Death, but I heard it was pretty damn sweet. If the new Maiden even comes close then itll be a huge success I looked up the new Motorhead...it got some decent reviews as well Testament - Over the Wall
I didn't really like Dance of death that much because it really didn't come close to Brave new World. You'll like A Matter of Life and Death.
I would skip "Dance Of Death" for now. It has a couple of decent tunes, but the production was bad, and the songs kind of struggled for direction. I thiink it was a weak effort all around.... "A Matter Of Life And Death" is the best they've recorded since Bruce / Adrain returned in my opinion. It has some great melodic solos, great galloping riffs, and the production this time around is excellent. Plus, the lyrics this time around are deep, and make sense when being sung. There's real direction on "AMOLAD", and all of the guys in the band did a wonderful job..... There's not one song on "AMOLAD" that I skip over, and it's been a very long time since I've said that about a Maiden album. Maybe even since the late 80's. I highly recommend this new release from Maiden. I think it's the most balanced release they've recorded in over two decades....
