Alkaline Trio- "Emma" is blaring in my brain. I think I'm having a midlife crisis, going back to the teen angst music I listened to in college. "Good Mourning" is a bad ass album. -X-
How is it? Im looking up some reviews and it looks like it got some pretty damn good ones. I dont own any Agalloch myself but was thinking about picking up "The Mantle" sometime in the near future Motorhead - In The Black
I like the new one a lot, its a great listen. If you're going to pick any up, I would go with Ashes Against the Grain (new one) or Pale Folklore as they have more metal elements in them. The Mantle is more folk influenced and can be a total snorefest at times IMO.
Well, Agalloch IS folk metal, no? Ive heard three songs from "The Mantle": You Were But A Ghost In My Arms, A Desolation Song, and I Am The Wooden Doors, but it definitely piqued my interest
Meh, I guess, but when I think folk metal I think more of bands like Korpiklanni. I can't really think of any genre that Agalloch would fit in.
Liquid Tension Experiment - Paradigm Shift My friend just showed me these guys today. Theyre shockingly good. Petrucci and Portnoy out of Dream Theater are in it, so if you like their stuff, youll definitely like this. Very impressive stuff
The Shadow Of Greed - Screaming Monkey Boner (Screaming Mechanical Brain) They sorta remind me of Mushroomhead and MSI combined...with black/death metal drums
